Hopefully this FAQ will answer all questions pertaining to the Cheater's clan. It really doesn't have to do with actual gameplay so I feel it would be better answered before the questions even arise. If you have any questions that are not answered here, please feel free to PM me and I will add them to the list.
Q: What is the Cheaters/Abusers/Time Waster's clan? I've seen it around but I don't get it!
A: It's a punishment clan for Cheaters/Hackers of AQ. You don't want to be in it.
Q: How do I get in the clan? I don't see it in the Clan Recruiting/Discussion Board.
A: Getting caught using bots (machines that battle for you), packet editors, or item hacks are several ways you may be placed into the clan. Also new: "Abusing" rules on the forums is also reported to be a cause of being placed in the clan.
Q: How do I stay out of the clan?
A: Just play the game the way it's supposed to be played! Always log in using the official AQ website ( [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]). As long as you don't try to enhance the game, like using a Gameshark for a PS2 for example, you should be fine. Nothing in the public game engine will get you clanned if you use it.
Q: Is there any way to get out of the clan?
A: No. If you're caught cheating, you're in the clan for life. If you feel it was an unfair placement, you may try to appeal the descision with one of the game administrators. If you know you're guilty, I don't suggest wasting their time just so you can have an attempt at getting out of the clan. They can always tell if your argument is legimate or false.
Q: Does the clan "infect" my entire account?
A: No. The clan is placed upon the character which was caught cheating the game.
Q: Are there any downsides to being in the Cheaters/Abusers/Time Waster's clan?
A: There are many. In minor rule infractions, you lose the ability to be on the Top 100/Legend lists. You may encounter Cheatzard (automatically reduces gold/exp by 100,000) while attempting to access areas of the game not available to normal players. For the more serious cases, there have been incidents where people have lost Guardianship or even had their characters/accounts deleted. Another rare penalty is that the person will be banned from AQ and it's forums. Aside from these, you really only lose your self-pride and your reputation.
Q: But I thought that the AQ Team couldn't remove Guardianship! It's supposed to be permanent, right?
A: True, Guardianship never expires. But when you cheat the game and affect the other players or the server, you are causing harm to the company and therefore lose your rights to be a Guardian because you have disobeyed the terms of service.
Q: Do cheater-only items exist as well?
A: Yes, there are a few. Punishment Shields, Glamdungs, and Steal Plates have all been given to players who abuse bugs/use hacking programs to cheat. All come with a heavy sellback price, a useless function, and a whole 'lotta shame, so I'd advise you not to cheat so as to avoid obtaining these items.
Q: If I suspect a cheater, where can I report him/her?

Cheater Accusations
1) Do not post on the boards. Make sure that the person is cheating before even thinking about accusing that person. This means that a character with more gold than your character is not always a cheater. You may want to contact a mod and ask them about it first.
2) Gather information about the cheater like character ID page, username, reasons they are suspected of cheating, and any other information that might prove to be useful.
3) Send a PM to a moderator.
