Hmm seems like the mods removed evidence of the drama when tr84 found out he became a GM. For evidence you can look at BennyRom's profile and it will say security team member or contact him in game.

They hired a hacker to staff. Meh. Makes sense. Benny probably knows more about the game then they do. Chances they have have the current acv tool already from Benny.

Not uncommon.
It's cheaper than hiring some random developer that doesn't know anything about the security problems of the game. He already knows everything he needs to, to make his job good.
