I agree entirely. The thanks system should be a factor in all this.

I understand that the 250 post requirement was not the best. But I really dislike the new system simply because it centralizes the rep-altering power. Well, there is two concerns I have with this new system (and maybe more in the future).

The "Thanks" system was abused too much. Leechers would freely make new accounts. That means they would get rep points for no reason if the staff decides to implement tha conversion of "Thanks to Rep". Of course, this is still being discussed.

No, I meant something else. For example, I release something and I get 100 thanks, My rep power should go up by 1. That could work also if you needed 100 rep points + say 300 thanks to get in.
