Well, I use XP, you could have a go at trying them all.
Start from the most recent one. (Furthest to the bottom of the dropdown list) and work upwards.

Right;
1) When you press F9, that sentence does
NOT come up. The sentence comes up, when you press
'F1' which also readys the character. (Some people, can't be bothered to delete the sentence, and just press enter, to get rid of it.)
2) They don't support vista, which is why you use the compatibility option, to run the program, in compatibilty for Windows XP.
3) You need the hack open too, I was just showing you one of them, you need to do the same for the hack. If the actual hack isn't there, then I suggest getting a new hack, because it will not work. However, in no way, shape or form, is it because of Vista, that you don't have the hack, you just need to download a different hack.
There's many floating around still. Just download some of the older ones.
