Acv edditing..

Hey,
I decompressed my 012.acv file i changed my notekeys (its a chance hack..)
everything went well.. i compressed it again all went awesome but then when i started the game there were still red buttons...
my commands on CMD were
acv_tool 012.acv dec
and the second was
acv_tool 012.acv dec -c
thats pretty much it..
I looked on dds convertor for any red buttons i might have missed and surpriseingly i havent miss...
any clue why i keep failing?

There is chance key in other acv with higher number so if you don't change it , that don't read you 012.acv and will read an other with higher number like 026.acv.

I don't know where is the chance keys in other acv sry

changing through hex editor or key reset
i think that you are not able to decrypt the new files, cuz you need a new unpacker but it isnt released yet

The chance keys are in a higher acv that cannot be opened with a first gen acv tool. The 012.acv merely includes the old files that they used from before.

Chance is in the 012 avc? I totally forgot. Maybe you got the wrong avc. ;o

ok, so the new files encrypt better so i cant openn it with normal acv unpacker...
hmmm what about takeing 021.acv file that can unpack,
I mean takeing old version of the 021.acv and plant it as the regular 021.acv??
will it work?

No. You will dc if you replace new acvs with older acvs. The only way is renaming it.

Use Hex editor to open new acvs. Rename all keynote(ex) to kexnote or something. This should let your edited acvs work again

Note: Only work on 2nd acv (If you can view filename / file path with Hex editor)

well I just looked in the tutorial of acv edditing and there was a new section on hex edditing..
he said T3 found a way to confuse the hex edditors and the hex edditors showing crap instead of the acv's file names and others...
anyone can give me a name of hex edditor that bypass this wall of crap?

right, they encrypt the whole file, so you are not able to cleary read the filepathes (ascii)
you cant bypass it only with a hex editor, the file have to be decrypt
