Cod4 on pc with joypad or mouse/keyboard

Hello,

I'm a proper cod4 player with mouse/keyboard.
But after i saw my friend playing cod4 on the Xbox 360 with his console i start thinking. A console is pretty cool but since i dont want to pay 70 € for cod4 on xbox 360 i was thinking of buying a joypad for my pc and play cod4 on the pc with my joypad. Anyone with expereince in it please tell me if you prefer it and what i need something like a special driver to get my console to work. Also i got a xbox 360 console can i hook it up to my pc and with some kinda program get it work out with cod4 ?

I think there's XBox 360 Controllers that are compatible with PCs and the console. They're most likely around US$50-60. I know it's possible to play COD4 with a joystick on the computer, as I've seen my cousin do it, though I don't know how to set it up myself.

you need a program called xpadder to configure the gamepad and use it
