I will explain in as correct terms as I can, what the meaning of a false positive is for viruses and trojans and precautions to take with deeming it as a false positive.

False positives are, as you should know, when anti-virus software detects a virus in the scanned program. We deem some of these as not a virus because it does not harm our computer like we think a virus would. However there is a point at which you can not deem something a false positive. For instance, this hack is packed with Themida. One of the worlds best packers, which renders these virus scans totally pointless. You'd get better virus reports if you scanned a monkey for a virus (yes I know its impossible thanks). What Themida essentially does is stop us from disassembling so that we can't self check for viruses or links inside the program and stops us from attaching debuggers (even if we were to run it and get virused this could stop us from knowing).

We all know Themida is one bitch to unpack. I would understand if they packed their private with Themida to stop people from cracking, but packing a public with a program used to pack 95% of viruses...now that's not right. I say if they want to pack their program, use something a little less intrusive/powerful. Your hack doesn't have anything to really crack anyways so its kinda pointless. All that can really be taken is potentially your bypass and some other stuff, that, even if the person could crack your program, could figure out anyways lol.

I have probably lost you all, and 50% of you won't even read this, but for those of you who did...next time check what packer is being used with PEiD and maybe check the section yourself with IDA. If its Themida, I personally do not touch the program nor download it if I hear it is packed with it.

So my point is, really, its not so much the anti-virus scans you need to trust, although they are useful for non-packed programs, but your instinct and your abilities to get as much info about the program...it also helps if you trust the person who released it.

This is my view on the subject, if you trust the maker, go ahead and run it.
