II. [Updatx9] Updates
·March 3, 2008 – Began writing guide

III. [Introx9] Introduction
Hello, I’m hesham8. I’ve decided to write this guide because many people don’t know how to level up a trojan quickly, or do not know where to begin. This guide is dedicated to everyone who has ever made or thought about making a trojan in Conquer Online.

IV. [Trojax9] What is a Trojan?
The Trojan character class in Conquer Online is regarded by many as the most powerful class in the game. They are, essentially, a slightly less protected dual weaponed warrior with much more health.

V. [TroWarx9] Trojan or Warrior?
A very common question from players is whether to play a trojan or a warrior. This can easily be solved by giving a breakdown of the warrior class.
The warrior class levels up at a much faster rate than the trojan class – In fact, a warrior can reach reborn status in about 30 hours of playtime. Warriors have very high defense, and can block arrows, making them a very high threat towards archers. Warriors will use two-handed weapons to level up, instead of two one-handed weapons. If you’ve decided to become a warrior, please read [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] guide.

VI. [Procox9] Trojan Pros and Cons
Pros
  • Trojans level at a stable pace at higher levels. In other words, levelling later on is not suddenly difficult, which is the case with archers and taos.
  • Trojans can level solo.
  • Trojans don’t need much money to level. Instead, they only need money for gear.
  • Trojans have very high health. They will almost never be one hit killed. In fact, the only thing that could one-hit a trojan would be a reborn trojan with very powerful (Most likely double socketed) weapons.
  • Trojans can one hit other characters. This makes for a great PVP character.
  • Trojans can heal themselves.
  • Trojans have access to all weapons.
  • Trojan skills are easy to level up.
  • Trojans dual wield weapons to maximize damage. This means you can have several weapon skills being deployed at once.
Cons
  • Trojans are very hard to level up at first. Until level 90 or so, you will be outpaced by warriors, archers, and sometimes taos.
  • Trojan equipment is very expensive. Expect to pick up every item dropped in order to save up enough money for your gear.
  • Trojans die very frequently. If you’re not killing something, then you’re probably dying.
  • Trojans with high ping are worthless.
  • Trojans cannot attack from a distance, which is expected.
  • You’ll frequently buy potions and sit to recharge your skills.
VII. [Startx9] Starting a Trojan
Creating your character
  • Faced with the option of the large or small character, pick the smaller character for the following reasons.
oSmaller characters can hide behind objects and scenery more easily, which is a useful tool in PVP.
oLarger characters are usually slower.
Birth Village
  • Talk to the General several times, and do it very quickly. If done correctly, you should get 2-3 weapon skills.
  • Leave birth village.
Welcome to Twin City.

VIII. [Levelx9] Levelling Guide

Short Version of the Levelling Guide:
Level 1-10: Do what the instant help scroll says (located near the bottom left of the screen). Choose what weapons you’re going to use right now.
Level 10-40: Get powerlevelled at the slowapes. Level by yourself when you can’t find anyone to powerlevel you.
Level 40-50: Now you have choices. You can continue getting powerleveled, or you can go and level up manually. If you choose the latter, you’ll have an easier time at level 50, because you’ll have recent weapons.
Level 50-70: Level by yourself in Ape City. When you need it, get power leveled at the Hawkings.
Level 70-115: Monotonously level up.
Level 115-125: Do the Moonbox quest over and over again. I don’t recommend doing it with good armor. If you get stuck, the only way to get out is to die.
Level 125-130: You could stay in the training grounds for a few weeks/months, or you could do it yourself in the labrynth.

Levelling Guide:
Level 1-10: Find your way outside of town, and kill pheasants until they are green. Then, move a bit further south and kill turtledoves until they are green. Talk to the Conductress NPC (located right outside of town) and say you wish to go to Ape Mountain/Ape City. Head a bit west, and fight robins until they are green.

[Option] Level 10-25: Manually level up on apparitions until their names become green. Move north and kill poltergeists until their names become green.

Level 10-47: Go to Ape City, and move straight down until you reach the southern bridge. Go left towards town. Move southwest, and get into the portal. From here, follow the chasm to the middle of the map, and go across the bridge. You could stop here and move a bit to the left, as there’s usually someone powerlevelling there. Move to the top right corner, and if there is someone there, ask to join their party. If there is not, move to the bottom right corner and hope someone is powerlevelling at the Snake Monsters. Stay in this area up to level 50.

[Option] Level 25-47: If you chose to manually level yourself up, fight the WingedSnakes in the Pheonix Castle map. They are located in the top-right green portion of the map. Move to bandits when they become green, and then to Ratlings in the southern part of the map.

Level 47-97: Now you can fight Macaques, but I don’t recommend it. Go to the second map, and fight MinMacaques until they are green. Fight ElfApes until they are green, and then fight SlowApes until they are green. You can also switch between them and the ThunderApes on the northern section of the 1st map for a change of pace. After they become green, you are to kill SnakeMonsters. I suggest having 4 rainbow gems from here on out. When the SnakeMonsters turn green (Trust me, it’ll feel like ages), go to DesertCity. To reach DesertCity, teleport yourself back to TwinCity, and talk to the Conductress. There will be a man there that will teleport you to DesertCity. However, I don’t recommend you mess with the monsters here. Go to the Conductress in the city, and teleport to Mystic Castle. But make sure you don’t go inside it. Go southwest and find the start of the shoreline. There’ll be a portal for you here. Kill SandElfs until they turn green. I recommend you kill at the spawn – You’ll level faster than running around the map killing everything. Now you’ll get to fight the Lapidating monsters that are located north of the entrance to the 2nd map. After they’re green, go to the ToughMonsters, located a bit to the north. Finally, you can kill EvilBlades (Again, up and to the right). Now you should be about level 87. On to Bird Island. Fight the BirdMen until level 92, and then the Hawkings until 97.

Level 97-130: Remain in Bird Island, and kill Bandits. Stay here until level 102. Then, go to the Mystic Castle and kill Tomb Bats until 107, then BloodyBats till 112. Now you have a choice: You can plvl people and go to the labrynth, or you can level at the Mystic Castle. If you choose the Labrynth, this guide is of no help to you. Assuming you chose MysticCastle, go to BullMonsters and fight them till you are level 117. Move over to the RedDevils. Soon after, go to the Labrynth and fight there until level 127. For the final three levels, I recommend parking your character in the Training Grounds.

IX. [Weapox9] Weapons
Club: This is the must-have levelling weapon.

Blade:
It’s a great weapon to PVP with, and is good for balancing the club’s dexterity.

Axe: Only useful in the Meteor Zone because the Meteor Dove will annihalate you. Use with the Hammer to get a 56% stun rate.

Hammer: Only useful in the Meteor Zone because the Meteor Dove will annihalate you. Use with the Axe to get a 56% stun rate.

Sword: There are really only two good choices to level with when you’re using a trojan – Club and Sword, and Club and Blade. This is the alternative. It gives more dexterity (which grants accuracy) than the blade, but does less damage.

X. [Moneyx9] Money Making Tips
Let’s face it: it’s tough gathering all that cash to get the gear trojans need. Check the money making guide in the stickies for tips. I’ll elaborate on this when I have the time.

XI. [Equipx9]
Level 15
  • Level 15 Coronet
  • Level 10 Boots
  • A club, blade, or sword.
  • Level 10 attack ring.
  • Level 15 Trojan Armor
  • Level 7 Necklace
Level 40
  • Try to find a full set of “fixed” gear.
  • Level 70
  • You should have some unique or elite armor if there isn’t any fixed armor for your level.
  • You should have unique two socketed clubs with 4 normal rainbow gems. (Club and other weapon optional)
Level 100
  • Unique Boots
  • Unique Necklace
  • Unique Clubs with 4 Rainbow Gems.
  • Elite +2 Armor
  • Elite +2 Coronet
  • Unique Ring
Level 112
  • Decent earrings (Minimum level 52 fixed)
  • Elite Clubs +2 with refined gems in them
  • Elite +2 armor and coronet
  • Elite ring
  • Unique Boots
Level 120+
  • Anything you want, but your first priority is to replace the gems in your weapons with 4 refined dragon gems.
  • Make sure you have super +2 or +3 weapons.
  • You may also want some elite boots so you can easily fight archers.
Keep in mind that these are minimum requirements. If you don’t meet them, that’s okay, but you could seriously do better than what I’ve listed.

XII. [Playex9] PvP Combat
I recommend you use two blades for PvPing. They do much more damage, and you’ll be much better off with them.
Against Taos: Bring potions. Hercules is your best bet, and don’t let them run away because they can self heal.
Against Warriors: Very easy. Just Hercules them to death. They never actulaly stood a chance…
Against other Trojans: Very very difficult. This is a battle of gear and skill.
Against Archers: If you can catch them, they’re dead in one hit.

XIII. [Rebirx9] Rebirth
Before you rebirth, there are some things you have to do.
  • Do the DevilHunter quest, but don’t turn in the reward. Turn it in after you rebirth (This way, you start off at level 44, not 15).
  • up on money.
  • Be as high a level as you can. Rebirthing at 120 is really a waste.
When you finish the rebirth quest, get your guard, and go to Bird Island or the Meteor Zone and have your guard (which you get by turning in a Euxanite ore) kill things for you.

XIV. [Miscex9] Miscellaneous Tips
Will be added soon…

<@Gate> I would know, my dad is a cook.
<@hesham8> Gate, what the **** are you talking about!? All you do is yell "BAM!" and throw chives everywhere.
<@hesham8> I do the same thing at weddings, except I yell "CONGRATULATIONS" and throw rice.
<@Gate> hesham8, you're a fag.

Re: Hesham8's Tremendous Trojan Guide

you say a warrior is not worth anything in PvP, I have a 126-130 warrior-warrior with not that good equips( normal rdg boots, elite 2rdg shield, unique rdg armor, super 2rdg poision blade, eli sdg heavy ring, norm sdg necky and uni +2 ears) and i still 2-3 hit full sup sock tros 125+ 2nd reb.
As for the herc, you cant kill wars so easy with herc (maybe when ur full duall sock) becuz they got exp skill shield :)
