| Lurker | Chinese and Japanese Conquer online I wanted to try out the Chinese and Japanese versions of Conquer today. Sadly neither of them works. The Japanese Client doesn't seem to install correctly (I don't get an entry in start menu). After manually autopatching and starting via play.exe from the Conquer folder - still no luck. The Chinese client installed fine, again, I autopatched manually. After starting the play.exe there was the same start up screen as english Co has now, where you can choose high or low definition. After doing that, whole computer freezes, harddrive is working like crazy and after a while Co crashes with a "C++ runtime error" "abnormal program termination". Does anyone know how to fix this (Please don't reply "Re-install Co" - already tried or "Re-Install Windows" - I won't do that cause it won't help). I need a pro advise here :-) So, if anyone has expirience with either of those clients ... help pl0x ;-) |

| Lurker | Re: Chinese and Japanese Conquer online Yeah, thanks. I already had the same idea yesterday evening. But still, chinese CO crashes with C++ runtime error. Japanese Co makes it to what is supposed to be the login screen, but this is being white. ![]() Edit: Finally got the Japanese version running. The program created another subfolder with Japanese letters, I moved the whole thing to a folder with latin letters only ---> working! Last edited by OkOrNo; 07-03-2008 at 02:06 AM. |
