It is true that there is no 100pc forsure way to make it so that item upgrades in twin city 100pc of the time are successful, however upgrading with a met tear is no different then upgrading with a met, its been proven that a met and a met tear have the same chance of sucess as each other, neither has a higher chance of success, the met tear having a higher chance of sucess is meerly a rumur that was started by people thinking "hmmm 2 mets to make a met tear must be the same as 2 mets in 1 upgrade" however its been proven by many on many servers including myself an freinds that this is not the case.
HOWEVER there is a way to improve any armor regardless of type/quality/lvl/gemed(yes having gems in items increases falure rate.. but +s do not)
Ok this is a very risky thing to do but it can be well worth it for those who hae very expensive armors that may cost over 30kk in mets to improve.
1st you need to make the peice of equipment reach 0 duration.. AS SOON AS IT REACHES THIS SCROLL AWAY YOU WILL RECIEVE A WARNING THAT UR ARMOR IS DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO BREAKING(breaking = dissapears) ok soon as this happens repair the armor, since its on 0 dura the repair will work however ur max dura will be cut in 1/2, this however is not a bad thing!!! wel it is if u dont plan on upgrading lols as it costs heaps to repair the max dura (but dont worry when the item upgrades it repairs all the dura so for eg: when 40 max repairs at 0 dura will = 20 dura as max, when lvled will be 40 again)
Now after this happens go and upgrade in tc and within 5 mets you SHOULD have it upgraded.
The reasons for this as follows:
every 10-15 mets or so that fails minises 1 dura from ur items max, so 40 will be 39, now in doing this you succesfully trick the server into thinking youve attempted to upgrade ur item with over 200-300 mets!!! so the server assums uve tried heaps and enables for an easier an cheaper upgrade. this is a proven method thats on the tips and hints forum on the official web.. ill search for it later but this is all u need 2 know.
