Im starting to make some money wit my job and i want to get one of the new nx gen consoles but im finding it hard to pick which one. Personally for me, the wii is out of the question. Can someone help me chose? i know the ps3 has great graphics but so does the Xbox 360....
Well, I've answered this more times than I can count. Here it is in a nutshell:
PlayStation 3.

That's the most for any console game, and the way it was setup guarantees a lag free environment. Now, I don't think I'm at liberty to discuss any more due to a non disclosure agreement.
And if you're a fan of RPGs or Fighting games, Tekken 6 and Final Fantasy XIII Versus are exclusives, along with most J-RPGs. Furthermore, there are games like Eight Days coming out soon, and those games have been extremely hyped. Games which have been previously XBOX360 exclusive are coming out for the PS3 and are being vastly improved and extended. Even better is the fact that the PS3 is outselling the XBOX360 worldwide, and in Japan, it has the highest market share. Keep in mind, Japan is usually where things are decided: If a console fails in Japan, it's most likely going to fail worldwide (The exceptions being the XBOX and XBOX360). For example, last generation, the DreamCast was a hit in Japan. Until the PlayStation 2 was released. The PlayStation 2 wasn't played worldwide, it was used as a DVD player. Once DVD stores became common, Sega was destroyed because the Playstation 2 was the world's cheapest DVD player, and it could easily play the early DVDs. The same goes with PS3 and Blu Ray. If you don't care about gaming, I would still recommend a PlayStation 3 due to the fact that it is the cheapest and most functional Blu Ray player, and DVDs will become outdated soon.
Short Version: PS3 because the X360 exclusives all come out for PC, and the PS3 exclusives are of a higher quality. PS3 because it'll be a powerful Blu Ray player. PS3 because you can install Linux and emulate Windows (in other words, run PC games) on it. PS3 because you can store your music in it. PS3 because you can store videos and photos in it. PS3 because the online service has everything that X360 has for free.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
This game blows any other console game out of the water. Sure, it's about 7 months old, but it's still visually breathtaking. If you roll around in the dirt, your shirt and pants get dirty wherever the dirt came into contact with you. If you jump into water, you get wet where the water touched you. There are over 65,000 character animations, which would be the most for any single character in one game. Technically, this is the most visually intensive game on the market.

Gears of War
Same gaming concept behind both games. If you'd ask me which game is better, I'd point to Uncharted because it feels like a more colorful, refined version of Gears of War. This game's graphics are still the best ever achieved on the X360, even though it came out years ago.
Though, if you want me to be honest, PC has the best graphics capability over all other systems.
I have always preffered the Sony Platform untill I got my PS3 and within 2 days it stopped working and so did the next 2 I got. PS3 I stil vote for graphics and that. But the 360 contains a much better Online play but as was posted, most games come on PC first or soon after.
Just got a new Laptop and well, WoW and alot of other games top any PS3 or 360 game. PC tops above any other current computer/console system.

The PlayStation 3 has the same achievement/trophy system, and the PSN has just had a complete overhaul to match the XBOX Live experience. Anyway, enjoy your new XBOX360. No matter which one you choose, they're both great.
