i think i can get 2 games with what i got and i cbf to look at whats new and i like shooters.im thinking resistance 2 and farcry2 anyone else got an answer?
Well, I'm assuming you're getting them for the Playstation 3 since this is the console discussion section and you've mentioned Resistance 2. I happen to have bought every first person shooter to have released on all consoles this year, and my consensus is that Far Cry 2 on Playstation 3 is superior to the XBOX360's Far Cry 2, but does not warrant a purchase unless you happen to like realistic games like STALKER. Resistance 2 is all-around fun, and is one of the few games that I'm still playing after having beaten it. The multiplayer is amazing, whether you're playing co-op or competitive. Unfortunately, there are still some things being ironed out - Player 2's stats don't get saved, and you can only have two players for online/local multiplayer or co-op.
The best shooter of this year for the PlayStation 3 console is Resistance 2, with Dead Space (and an arguable Metal Gear Solid 4) trailing. Dead Space is a good game in its own merit, but all of its horror is shock based. Metal Gear Solid 4 I've beaten seven times. Metal Gear Solid IV is without a doubt the best game to release in the last decade.
