If you did do that and actually got away with it, when someone buys the game and it doesnt work, what would be the consequences? i mean, would nothing happen or would it end up as jail time. o.O Seriously. xD

If the person who purchased the game contacts Steam support with proof that he purchased the game and that the CD-key doesn't work, Valve would send him a new CD-key and deactivate the old one and probably ban the account using the old one.

That happend to me :P I "stole" an CD-key , steam banned me after 3 weeks , even got an email with explanation , and if id like to complain because i bought the game i could , but they also said something about stolen serials , but well nothing happend except the ban , idc just bought a new one
