How to Setup a Counter Strike Dedicated Server

Ok, first of all if you wanna host your own Counter Strike 1.6 Dedicated Server, you need the following:

Counter-Strike
Dedicated Server
Router

now add these ports to your port fowarding list

hlds 27015-27015 BOTH!

load your dedicated and when it loads
go to ipchicken.com get your ip and copy it

example: 12.34.56.78<-- is your ip now put this in your favorite servers list 12.34.56.78:27015 and bam, your dedicated server. and if it did nt work then your firewall settings in your router are blocking the ports.

then you will need to disable it.

but i dont really recomened running a dedicated unless you have your own server or if your trying to run it off your PC make sure you have a T3 connection.. i have a T1 and when i had one it was in 80 ping for 10 people in my server...

Doesnt Dedicated Server lag? I made a dedicated server before and it lagged when there were like 5 people in the room.

my server runs fine off a cable connection 10meg / sec down 3 meg / sec up for 12 people. for a good tutorial check or [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
