Gahh! no matter how many games of dota, and builds/characters i use, i always get smashed by other ppl... when i vs my friends they always own me. any ideas?

-use easy to use heros
-stare at ur minimap, in cases like back stab , u can back
-dun tank creep damage or hero damage
-dun be reckless, example "1v3 heros etc"
-last hit and play ur best
-read more guide and play more often and soon u ll be able to match with them or even pawn the hell out of them

I suggest focus on 1 character only master him well. All his skills and the best item you can equip on him then you'll own them in every way.

The more you play the better you'll get, if you keep playing you'll eventually work out how to use most players and be able to play well with anyone.

choose spectre and turn on maphack. every game i do that my score usually ends up being 21-1, 18-2, 20-0 ect. really is no way you can lose when u can pop up anywhere on the map whenever you want.

always make an evaluation on why u lose after a game....actually not recommendable coz is like.....its only a game but after tat game u r still tinking about it

the ULTIMATE/BEST way to improve:

1) Download replays from professional DOTA gamers (For example, download and watch the WCG ASIAN DOTA replays)

2) Watch their ITEM BUILD, tactics, TEAMWORK, hero selections, etc

3) Finally, copy everything they do and try it out yourself.

Of course, sometimes they do make mistakes and not everything they do applies in every situation, but still, copying the professionals are the fastest and easiest way to improve.

To me, learning from the pros is better than playing it yourself. Also, learn some last hitting and animation cancelling
