[How To] Change Verdana back to Aerial font.

Yea so this is a guide on how to change the crappy Verdana font back to good ol' Aerial. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT MY GUIDE. CREDITS GO TO
LONLYBOYSH ON THE FLYFFWORLD FORUMS. (Actually, it's not even HIS, he found the guide on pflyff forums lol.) BACK TO THE GUIDE

Take note that this is a little bit risky as it involves editing the Windows registry, but if you don't do anything stupid and just follow my instructions you should be just fine.
Instructions:

1.) Open the Windows registry editor. Click on the Start button > Run... > type in 'regedit' (without the quotes) and press Enter.

2.) Once you're in the Windows registry editor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows NT > CurrentVersion > Fonts. You'll know you're there when you see a listing of fonts on the right side of the registry editor.

3.) Scroll down, and look for the Verdana fonts. Double-click on each of them, and replace the Value data they hold to the following:

Verdana (TrueType) --> ARIAL.TTF
Verdana Bold (TrueType) --> ARIALBD.TTF
Verdana Bold Italic (TrueType) --> ARIALBI.TTF
Verdana Italic (TrueType) --> ARIALI.TTF

4.) Restart your computer. The fonts will be replaced when you login.

To restore the Verdana fonts, just follow the instructions again and put these Value data instead:

Verdana (TrueType) --> verdana.ttf
Verdana Bold (TrueType) --> verdanab.ttf
Verdana Bold Italic (TrueType) --> verdanaz.ttf
Verdana Italic (TrueType) --> verdanai.ttf

Well, that's all there you have it. I haven't really tested this but I heard it works fine, and like the author said, if you just follow the directions, you should be fine.

Yeah this should work well, good find dude ^^. Anyway i wonder why they changed it to verdana o.O

Another way was with the .res files, it was possible there too. I did it myself, but then it got patched :/
I also tested the fonts of other flyff versions in ours, but it didnt fit for some reason. The @ was only displayed half then...

Anyway you deserve my thanks for this guide ^^

Doesn't work for me but appearantly works for some other people...
So maybe this helps (reg files that set/unset verdana=arial)

Or you could just edit the .res files? That way you don't have to modify your registry >.>.

Already said it, but you´ll need an bypass then, which is not easy/not working. So the registry changing method is the best in my mind...

The only Problem may be that other Games or Programs that use Verdana font, will have Arial then. And this may not look very good :/

hehehe i didnt see the question so
do other people see your name in Arial cause if they dont there is not much use in it we could use the llllll names again to use some certain hacks but if everybody sees you normall name there is no point in changing it back to Arial if others dont see it anyway :(

or you really must like the Arial Letter type to change it back and want to look at it that way so much

It's only for your client.
Most people who worry about the font are worried either because they used a capital i as l and now it looks crap or because smilys look messed up now.
