Dual Logging hardware lag...

Hey all, I have a few quick questions about dual logging. First ill post my comp specs to give you all a general idea on what kinda hardware im working with. I have a athalon 2.4GHZ processor, Geforce 8600 GT gfx card, and 2 Gigs of ram, which i think is a decent comp. Yet after about 20 minutes of dual windowing, the lag gets so unberable that everything skips and jitters around like crazy! I pretty much know the problem is my processor, since I know people with much less ram (1gb) and worse vid cards, like a geforce 7300 GS, dual log for 3 hours with no hardware lag. My processor is not dual core, nor is it hyper threading, so i know thats pretty much the root cause of the hardware lag. My biggest question is... Is there a way to sorta divert all the processors power to one window, and not try to split them between the 2 windows making both a lagfest? Thats what annoys me. I know people that have single core 2.0 GHZ processors that sorta have one window working perfectly, while the other one a massave lagfest, and when switching windows, it freezes up for alittle bit. With my compy, like if i put one client in town, and the other one out by the desert or somethign, the one in town is lag free, while the one in the desert is a lag fest. The problem is the reason i wanna dual log is to RM myself, and when my chars are near each other, BOTH windows start to lag, like my processor tries to split the power between the 2 then. I know its not strong enough to do that and thats what causes the lag, but is there a way to just get it to focus on one window? My little bros compy does it that way, and he has a way worse PC then me. Like the fighters window runs perfectly smooth, while the RM window goes at like 1fps XD.

First, please seperate your paragraphs.
That big blob of words hurts my eyes :[.

I think my computer is a little worse than that, but I don't get that much lag when I dual log.

Which method of dual logging do you use? (There probably is only 1 way.)

Re: Dual Logging hardware lag...

Yea im sorry about the big wall of text there, I shoulda wrote that out alittle better. I use either the sunkist method, or the 'new user' method, and both work fine for me, i never have a problem actually launching the game with 2 clients. My problem comes from the processor trying to split the processing between the 2 clients, causing massave hardware lag.

I know people with HT processors or Dual core processors dont have this problem, but i know some people who can decently run this game with just a single core 2.0ghz type processor, cause the window that thier fighter is in runs like there is only 1 client running, smooth like. While the other runs at like 1fps. I have a 2.6ghz processor and both windows are completely skippy and jittery and eventually get to the point where its unplayable. I was wondering if theres any way to get it to concentrate more processing power on one window, and nearly none on the other?
