roller; Like it or not Icedgreece has been here, so much longer than you, and is a great person to have in this community. He is known, for helping others out, I know when i started, I looked up to people like him and SuperBob, and still do at times, Iced is a great bonus to the GzP community, and I really am glad he is here.

Well, people tend to be more lenient to those that are facetious, which is why Iced has yet to receive infractions. You guys, on the other hand, do not handle yourselves very tactfully.

You didn't even bring up the back-end of the rendering engine..
This has just turn into an all-out flame, Icedgreece versus roller208; I'd just quit if I were either of you, to avoid the infraction.
First off, if he wasn't a good mod, or if Skyline didn't think he did a good job, he wouldn't still be mod. That's a pretty simple statement, I like him just fine, he's smart, and his posts aren't moronic. Oh, and you complain about him "flaming" he posted the rules, you don't follow them, and he has to clean up the mess, I'd be annoyed by that too. He has the right to run his section partially as he sees fit, if an Admin didn't like it I'm sure they would have had a talk with him by now. I don't see any of you modding, and keeping sections clean, nor do I see a lot of you posting something that took much thought. If you don't like him, don't go to the chit chat section, just because you're too lazy to scroll down to the "spam section" doesn't mean you have the right to break the rules in the chit chat section then complain when you get warned.

Okay - I won't close this thread (for the time being), because there's a number of people invested in it.
Firstly, I'll clear up a few things, and I'll try to be concise.
I added WTFPWNED to the chit-chat section. He's assigned to help clear out the mess that was once known as: Chit Chat.
I think many people in here are significantly missing the actual point of the section; for God's sake, we've had to remove post count again!
Threads that lack any sort of volume are removed. Basic, opinionated threads will be removed (i.e. x vs. y, which do you like).
Threads that have volume will remain, and potentially be rewarded (see my thread on handing out rep). Examples include the evolution thread (which, although the thread poster was absolutely clueless, the actual thread is fairly okay, minus a few posts) and the occasional news story that someone links to - where discussion ensues.
This is what we want: good, healthy, thorough discussion. When you've got x vs. y, and the OP doesn't go into any depth, expect the thread to be closed simply because you're promoting mindless blather. We want some DETAIL people, not just threads filled with 2 words responses.

Yes, Gogeta, people can talk about whatever they want. In the spam section. Can you talk about your snot in the Gunbound section? No? Then why's Chit Chat any different? That's a rhetoric; it is not different, and it still has rules to abide by. Please read them. It is a lax section, but not that lax.
We all know the Chit-Chat section is where users come to kick back and throw in their 2 cents on things, but we want your 2 cents, not your .2 of a cent. Think before you post.
To address the actual issue of WTFPWNED, I think perhaps he comes across as slightly condescending. Whilst it most places it is due (lets face it, a lot of idiots post on the boards), it's probably not the best approach to take, as you'll alienate your userbase (where the Chit Chat section is typically a small, tight-knit group of users). Lets just tone it down a bit, and lay off the insults. Infract - move on. Close - move on. Let me be perfectly clear: WTFPWNED is doing a great job of keeping the section clean. As I said, he could perhaps just improve his bedside manner, so to speak. I'm sure he'll take this all onboard.
As I said, I'll leave the thread open and if my response is unsatisfactory to anybody then they're more than welcome to reply and explain why.
