| Administrator ![]() ![]() | "Abuse" I don't think some of you even know the meaning of the word, yet sling it around as if the staff of GzP are the worst people in the world. I'll give you one example, Divin|ty: Divinity had an onjoin notice, which noticed whoever joined the channel with three lines of text. Divinity is not a moderator, nor an administrator, yet feels the need to inforce rules -- something which he actually cannot do. Now, I think lengend was being fairly reasonable in saying "Remove it". Divinity didn't. Right. If it was an unreasonable request, I'd say, fair enough, you can disregard what the mod said; it wasn't. The onjoin notice went like this: (12:05:11) » [ notice from Divin|ty ]: ..::Welcome to Please Do Not Ask For Hacks::.. (12:05:11) » [ notice from Divin|ty ]: Please type /nick {name you want} (12:05:11) » [ notice from Divin|ty ]: DONT BUG ANYONE It's irrelevant to everyone except for the jIRC users (and he apparently cannot script well enough to only notice those users). It's just annoying. We asked him to remove it. He didn't. He was banned. Now we are "abusers"? What sort of shit is that? If you can't adhere to the rules in place, don't come here. You're just making yourself look like an idiot. |

| Administrator ![]() ![]() | Re: "Abuse" It notices the person when they join. I don't think you get it. We asked you to remove it, and it's as simple as that. I repeat: if you can't adhere to the rules we have in place, don't come. |
