| Re: Requiem online [Video] Open beta In Requiem: Bloodymare it is not mandatory to p2p. There is only a Premium Service fee if you wish to go that route on the live release. What exactly the Premium Service involves has yet been discussed. My idea is it'll be like many other F2P games that have similar servers via cash shop (Maple Story biggest one comes to mind) which doesn't unbalance the game. Also perhaps more experience/cash gain in game which again doesn't effect the balance between Free player and cash players.
Requiem: Bloodymare is currently in Open Beta and still has bugs that have been reported since Closed Beta. This game is quite good for a free game and I would not expect it to get any better than any other free 2 play game.
Also for those of you that say "Oh my players can pay to become better is just totally unfair" . We play games to have fun and I have yet to play a game that was free without a cash shop/premium service that was fun, except Diablo. Since this game is no where like Diablo I would expect Gravity to act like any other company in the world and make money with it's products. What's the next thing you going to complain about having to pay for paper to wipe your own.. well you get the picture.
May I also mention the huge success of Ragnarok Online. Given we now have Private servers but I haven't seen a successful private server that didn't have some sort of unfair donation system.
Again, get over the pay to play games. If you can't afford to pay small fees then you're too young to play the game anyways as you probably don't have a job.
I'm not posting for the safety of Gravity's success and reputation but for all games that are TRUE games, and bringing common sense that a Company made these games with their money to let you have fun, fail or success they still have to do it that is life. If you wish to complain, please be my guest and create a video game that will knock my socks off that is free money wise and free of people complaining about how crappy it is.
That is my rant. Thank you and just enjoy games and criticize them when you actually play them and know more than just reading what other people say. |
