Pre-Searing Dye Farming

To start out, make an Elementalist. When you get in Ascalon, go to Baron Egan and get the Bandit Raid Quest. DO NOT FINISH THIS QUEST! You can do any other quest. Leave Ascalon and make your way to Ashford Abbey. Talk to Mhenlo and get the quest for becoming a monk. Finish that quest. Then go back to him and get the reward. Do the next quest that he offers (though it will be hard for lower levels) After doing this, make sure you have Symbol of Wrath equipped. After doing this, go to Wizard's Folly and go into the mountains and talk to Elementalist Aziure. Get the quest from her, and be ready to fight some hordes of monsters(Use Firestorm). After finishing this quest, go back to Ashford Abbey, and then back out to Lakeside County, then go into Green Hills County and get the quest from Gazden the Protector. DO NOT LEAVE GREEN HILLS COUNTY. Go to your map and travel to Ashford Abbey. Then leave Ashford abbey and head Northwest to the bandit camp. Make sure that you have the Shielding Hands spell from Gazden, you have Firestorm, and you have Symbol of Wrath. (Optional:Orison of Healing). Go into the camp and there should be about 8 bandits. As soon as they are all on you, use Shielding Hands and then Firestorm, Immediately followed up by Symbol of Wrath. You will kill them all. Go back into Ashford Abbey, Rinse&Repeat.

Note: You might want to be at least lvl 3 before attempting.

Well, as great as Pre-Searing dye farming is, it's dwarfed by farming later in the game, in hard mode.

wow i think i'll try this. wish i knew this years ago, before pre searing and everything related got changed or nerfed to hell.

In my experience, Rager itself farms the easiest in Pre-Searing.. beter yet. R/Mo =]

Thats a really smart idea. I also try to find a black dye before I finish the pre-searing. So at least I have a little money before I get into the game.

Ever since hard mode came our Pre-Searing dye farming got less popular. Though GW's community is slowly fainting away. (cmon Guildwars 2! Faster!)
