| Registered User | 3D-init-failure I've talked to technical support twice and they said I should reinstall my video drivers can anyone help? I'll post my dxdiag.txt if needed and type out the error message as well. Thank you for your time. Update: I'd thought I would just post my dxdiag and the message so people wouldn't have to waste their time. Unable to initialize 3D output. Please that verify you have installed DirectX 8 and an updated video driver. I have already made sure that I had the latest DirectX and that all my video drivers were updated. | Registered User | Re: 3D-init-failure I'm sorry I know I shouldn't bump but I'm desperate not only is Guild Wars not working every program that requires 3D no longer works which means I can't even do my drafting homework. |

| The Vindicator | Re: 3D-init-failure You should probably check your DirectX Version, uninstall & reinstall the newer one. And if that doesn't work, then I dont know anything shorter then getting a new card. I had this problem too, and I simply solved it by messing with the Direct X |

| Registered User | Re: 3D-init-failure I'm such a noob I screwed it up even further I went to Control Panel>Personalization>Display Settings>Advance Settings>Properties> And unistalled driver. Yeah and now I find that intel conviently no longer has my driver igdumd32.dll_2007.10.21.03.20.34. Does anyone here happen to have a driver for Card name: Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Chip type: Intel(R) GMA 3100 Btw it's not letting me send attachments so I can't post another dxdiag.txt right now. | Registered User | Re: 3D-init-failure I was thinking since I'm probably not the only one who had this problem we should make an archive of technical support questions. Then again people never use search, all those questions are to much for a sticky and people ask questions that have been answered 100 times. Meh, just a thought. |

| The Vindicator | Re: 3D-init-failure That would be cool, but it would be alot easier to just sticky a link to the ncsoft's help archive. |

| Registered User | Re: 3D-init-failure That'd be okay except the archive doesn't help a whole lot and the technical support require a couple of emails back and forth to fix the whole thing not they weren't helpful. Anyhow Guild Wars has alot less problems then most games and it's vista friendly. |
