hi im thinking about starting this game and i was wondering about all the other games like eye of the north are these just expansions or whole new story parts to the game?and how much the game roughly costs.also is the free trial for the game free??thx

Each game is like an expansion that can stand by itself. GWEN (Guild Wars: Eye of the North) is like a whole new game, rather than an expansion to the original story. There are free trials usually from events, but you have to find a player to give you a free trial key (if they don't use it themselves).

All of the games except for EoTN are stand alone, meaning you can get one and play it. EoTN however requires a existing game in order to be played (Proph, Factions or Nightfall). It is recommended to get the first three games for PvP, EoTN skills aren't as widely used in PvP but are recomended. No guild will usually accept you for PvP unless you have first 3 or All.
