I need help badly

I just got my guild wars today and wen i try to install it comes up with a downloading screen it has been on this screen saying the same thing downloading now for 10 hours i am on 8meg boradband so it aint my connection help me please?:xena_bana

That doesn't make sense...

Did you buy the game from the store or did you get the client off the internet and buy a key?

Are you connected to a network through a router?

the downloading shouldnt take that long... where did you get the GW downloader?

i got it from the disc and yes i have a router

Your firewall may be blocking Guild Wars.

Try unblocking Guild Wars.

i had that problem to, but that was becuz of the firewall blocking it, i had to re-install my anti-virus to had it work ........

ok try doing this:
start>>programs>>Norton Internet Security>>Norton Internet Security>>Personal Firewall>>configure>>Programs>>scroll down until you will see Gw.exe and then choose in all of them "permit all".

dont have norton anti vir or any firewall installed
