aydrian is an 11 year old little kid...he doesnt know when to shut his mouth. hes just pissed because he chose (as his proffesion and a PATHETIC proffesion also) to work for his local newspaper and makes about 30-45 bucks a month and cant afford the measily 13 bucks a month for WoW...thus his (fake) hatred for the game. i almost feel so bad for the little kid i would pay the monthly fee for him.

gwguru had a thread linking to this thread saying how much of an idiot aydrian is, how he got pwned here and how he is making an ass of himself and the gw community...

Besides, I was wondering what hole you crawled into, tabriz. Sitting back and waiting for the dust to settle while someone more pathetic then me proved to everyone that the people in WoW are a bunch of children who can't defend their game.

Besides, you haven't done a single thing to fight back against my accusations. All you've done is flung insults at me. Remember, even kids can insult. But it takes someone more to defend a game they like and back up their words. Give me your best shot, because your insults have no effect on me. Your only weapon against me is insulting GW, nothing more. Why don't you try doing that.

I've asked for this topic to be unlocked but only if the flaming is kept down to a minimum. So that means, if you have any negative things to say about Guild Wars and my review, have something to backup your words or don't say anything at all.

In a nutshell don't:
Fill your comments with insults
Insult me or the others of this game
Tempt me to flame you by purposely doing things you'll know I hate.

I asked for this to be unlocked so you can see your opinions, whether it's negative or positive. But the negative reviewers better be a lot better then tabriz and Exploit. Meaning, back up what you say or don't say anything at all.

Well, this has got to be one of the biggest laughs i've had in a long time.

Ok, simply because it seems liek a bunch of WoW fanboys versus one person defending GW, i decided i should comment. In my honest opinion i must say i prefer FFXI above all the otehr mmo's i've played. If oyu want to be technical my order of ranking is this:

1. FFXI
2: Guild Wars
3. Gunz
4. Ragnarok Online
5. Lineage 2(c2)
6. WoW

now, i COULD go into detail as to why i like a sprite-based game like RO better than WoW, but i'm rather lazy and this *is* a GW vs. WoW thread now.

Now reasons i prefer guild wars over WoW.(yes some of these, maybe most of these, poitns have been said)

1. The Strategy

In Pve it isn't as prevailant in either game, none the less it is still there, you can't simply start spamming magic at one enemy and hope, you need to prioritize the targets, now this is true in WoW as well for the most part.

In PvP however it is much more obvious, in GW it is a matter of strategy, the placement of where small battles break is out is important, an Elementalist at the base of a cliff while the warriors are on top can be devastating to no end. In wow it is pretty much a 'your sword is stronger than mine i'm going to lose'

i have taken out people 3-5 levels higher than me on guild wars through strategy in head to ehad us slugging each otehr its obvious who would win that, but thats simpy ebcause of stats.

2. Instancing

Ok... it reduces lag INCREDIBLY. it reduces boredom, it reduces unwanted PK's, it reduces KS. it is a brilliant idea. WoW simply does not have it.

3. The area's themselves

from the start of Guild wars i see a range in enviroments form a lakeside forest area to a Mountainous cold climate. In wow.. for a while you see pretty much the same area

4. Lack of Fees

ok, i know that its not that big of an issue.. i mean im used to spending hundreds of dolalrs on my computer so 15$ a month isnt that big a deal to me, but the lack of fees is very ncie.

5. The graphics

i saw someone saying WoW's graphics where better, and that is debatable, i think there roughly about the same but the style of guild wars graphuics is more realistic than WoW's

6. Better servers

This is basically a spinoff of instancing, but Districts. instead of having the mass chaos of ironforge in somewhere like lions arch trhey have districs with limited number od people. During the events lions arch has had as many as 200 districts, it reduces lag for people that don't have a nice gamign computer like me. also i had the titan panel for WoW, and i know for a fact that a ping of 700 as a low is not a good low ping. i don't know what my ping is to GW, but i know its pretty good


ok, now for points made by WoW people,

'No mounts'

ok the first time you go to a new area there is no reason to ahve moutns, that would also make quests extremely easy, if its for getting to areas you've been to than you can simply teleport there via the map, who needs mounts?

'No jumping'

ok, i will admit that jumping in WoW was kind of nice, simply to speed thigns up, and i will also admit that not beeing able to go down small cliffs is kind of annoying, but nonetheless it is not NEEDED, it is nice, but in guild wars they would need to relocate things, and etc.

'No swimming'

Why would you ever want to or need to swim? There is no point in it nearly every other MMo haasn't been able to swim, why would it matter if you couldn't in GW.

'Level cap is 20'

yes it is a relatively low level cap, but if you look at it its rather logical. Guild wars plays much like diablo 2 if you notice, D2 was based off of D&D, the max level in D&D is 20. rather logical. Now, the otehr reason is that it is based on skills both that your character has and you have as well.

'Immature players'

You can't escape this it is EVERYWHERE, want imamture? go to a un-vac secure CS 1.6 server, thats immature, i've almsot never been called a n00b, and when i did i deserved it. yes you get alot of immature peoplle pre-searing, you know what its EXPECTED its the gathering place of the peopel that just started, i never see immature people in kryta or the crystal desert

'Alliance vs. Horde'

Ok WoW defenitaly wins here, i give them that. it was a great idea

' races/classes/professions > professions'

ok, heres the thing if you pay attention to the story its a great fight of HUMANS, it is supposed to be as realstic as you can get with charr and magic and whatnought, also once again plys largely like D2

' Wow has more users'

why yes, yes it does it also has the most ANNOYING thing ever; server ques....



Now i've stated my opinions, responses etc, let the flamign against me commecne, because it is inevitable.
