Re: Random lag spikes

If you use iGunZ, try port forwarding (Options --> Misc --> Check off port forward box).

If you have a firewall as intensive as ZoneAlarm, turn it on "Game Mode" when playing (If it isn't ZA and has no game mode, just turn it off when playing).

Better than that: turn off firewall/antivirus when playing GUNZ and see if it helps at all.

Now - if you lack an antivirus, I recommend demo'ing one such as [url=http://www.kaspersky.com/]Kaspersky/[url]; if you lack an anti-spyware, get [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], update, scan.

Finally: start --> run --> msconfig --> startup

Uncheck anything that is not needed (If you can't tell what it is by name, expand the "location" tab, and then see what folder it's in and what is being executed).

Re: Random lag spikes

Also, if it's not connection-based lag, you might be experiencing FPS lag where your graphics are trying too hard to keep up with whats going on.

Usually reducing your graphics will solve all FPS lag issues.

Re: Random lag spikes

Try closing off some programs
IE. Firefox, Xfire, Firewall, Downloads.
Some of those.
And then Restart.

Re: Random lag spikes

I also forgot to mention, as said, try low detail, lower resolution (i.e.: 640x480 16bpps), and setting texture level to 16-bit is a biggy.
