is it possible to put gunz in a window instead of full screen? if so how do i do it?

Yes, it's possible. There is a particular file that you need to put into your Gunz folder for it to work. If I remember correctly, it's the d3d9.dll file. I could be mistaken but that file has been posted here before. A simple search will give you what you're looking for.
