How Do you Create custom sets?

ok, their is a create your own set competition coming up and i have a great idea. I want to maximize my chances of winning by creating is graphically. Some of the past users have made them graphically and it looks like its made by ijji.

how did they do this? What program did they use? Where can i find a tutorial? (tried search)

A few of those map entries were created with 3DMAX - but that is not advisable (the program costs a few thousand $$ and too much time).

If you're artistic, look for Photoshop clones or drawing specific programs like Corel's Painter.

hey......how can i cr8 my own sfx.mrs?
when i edit them.....al the effects disappears...like if i edited the lvl up wing and when i am ingame the lines effects,glow and etc...of the wing doesent appear only a wing appears....no lines in it appear....Help!!
