okay so i know this is the second problem im having today..... but ive tried everything i can think of short of sending ijji my host.txt
the basic problem is when i open gunz reactor opens just fine or open reactor gunz runs just fine.... getting it on isnt the problem as far as i can tell.... its once it goes through the loading screen and ect and mesh and all that junk loads..... where you hit connect to server and you know you can pick ether of the 2 clan servers or the what is it 6 or 8 something like that normal quest servers.... nothing shows up nothing at all just a bunch of nothing and the only thing i can hit is exit.... im going to list what ive tried along with a screen shot of my problem.... hopefully someone can help me.... maybe im just haveing some sort of brain fart ....
anyway here goes......
i restarted the computer =nothing
i did a hard crash= nothing
i add/removed programs and uninstalled it.... rebooted and then reinstalled= nothing
i did it again but fully going into the ijji file and deleteing everything along with the ijji file and then redownloading the hole game and reactor.... but still nothing
i tried booting it up with other programs and hacks but ether the window just never came up or it was the same.... its like ive been banned without actually being banned... so its just weird....
and finaly i added a question under help in the ijji web site but all they sent me was this rubish that didnt work something about them thinking it was a lag problem >.>
heres the email they sent me ---------> Thank you for contacting the ijji.com Support Team!
We're terribly sorry to hear you're experiencing lag, latency or high ping issues within GunZ. Please attempt the workarounds below and if nothing seems to relieve the issue please supply us with the requested information so that we can further troubleshoot the matter.
The ijji Downloader, is designed to run in the background of your system for a set length of time, allowing only the ijji game files on your system to be shared with other users wishing to download and install our games. By allowing others to access files in this manner, users should see an increase in download speeds, especially during times when our servers are experiencing a high user volume, such as when a new title is released or after a major update/patch.
If you are encountering issues with this application or lag/latency issues it is best to exit this application to see if your performance increases.
1. Please refer to the steps below to exit the application and determine if it resolves the in-game "lag" issues:
- Click "Game Start" as you normally would and wait for Reactor to load the game...
- Close the ijji downloader in the sytem tray (right-click the ijji icon in system tray and click "Exit")
*** Note: The "system tray" or "sys tray" is located next the clock on the Windows taskbar. DO NOT exit Reactor! ***
After this is complete click "Game Start" as you normally would from Reactor and verify if the lag/latency issue is resolved. If not, please complete the next step below...
2. Check to see if you have any firewalls enabled, this includes the default Windows Firewall, an Antivirus Firewall, and hardware with built in firewalls i.e. a router. In order to disable the Windows Firewall to see if this will resolve the issue please follow the steps below:
- Click on "Start" > "Settings" > "Control Panel"
- Double click on "Windows Firewall"
- Select "Off (not recommended)" and click "OK"
After this is complete click "Game Start" as you normally would from Reactor and verify if the lag/latency issue is resolved. If not, please complete the next step below...
3. If disabling the Windows Firewall doesn't help then please turn it on by repeating the steps above and clicking on "ON." Please verify that your ports are open on your router (this is very important). If you do not know how to do this, please contact the manufacturer of your router or talk to your Network Administrator as they will be able to assist you with this issue.
For more information regarding port forwarding please see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and be sure to find out your router make & model. You'll want to forward the following ports to your computer for GunZ: TCP 5100,6000 and UDP 8900,7777,7778.
After this is complete click "Game Start" as you normally would and verify if the lag/latency issue is resolved. If not, please complete the next step below...
4. If you do not use a router or firewall and are connected to your modem directly, be sure your modem does not have a built in firewall. These can only be configured by the network administrator through software provided by your ISP. If you're playing from a school, work or public place you might be restricted.
Finally, if none of these steps resolved your issue then we must request more information from you to troubleshoot this further. At this time we will need to see a copy of your host file in order to see if we can find anything there that may be the source. Please follow the steps below in order to retrieve a copy of your host file:
- Please go to the "Start Menu" > "Run" and type in the following folder name and hit enter: "C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\"
- Locate and select the "hosts" file. DO NOT double click on it.
- Right click on the "hosts" file and select the "Open" option. Please open this file with "Notepad".
- Once you have this open in Notepad, please save it onto your desktop as a .txt (text) file and attach it with your next response to us. <--------
