stupid frap program

i tried using fraps to tape my gunz games. but its so damn laggy and if u use it for too long u get disconnected from the game. any suggestions?

and btw anyone has full 28/09 files for Igunz..?

Fraps is like that for every game, unless you have the greatest PC in the world. What I do is record it with the game, and then record the recording that I used through the game with Fraps, if that didn't totally confuse you, great. The only problem with recording with GunZ is sometimes it screws up and you're watching another person playing instead of yourself. What I do is just use windows movie maker, or if you use something different, pretty much the same thing. Just edit out the part of the other person playing until you get back to where it's you playing again.

W/ Fraps you can choose to record sound or not, so if you edit out a bit of the movie it won't make a difference if you're not using sound and plan to make a montage with it, or just a clip of you playing. If you did record with sound, just delete the sound line in WMM (Windows Movie Maker), or mute it.

You can always try VirtualDub to record your games.

to get fraps non-laggy just set your gunz screen size to 640 by forgot >< (the smallest size so the screen looks zoomed-in) then change the fps to 30 or if your computers really smooth then set it to 60.

when you're recording with fraps it seems laggy but the end product is fine.
try to use a compresser e.g windows movie maker this makes it run much faster.
click on disable overlay so your fps doesnt come up in the recording's.

Anyway... To the OP maybe you could record using the GunZ recorder, and then replay the grz recording and use fraps to make a recording whilst it is playing?

As in taping it in one format and then taping that taping to convert it. I don't know, good suggestions have already been made.
