I tested again and yes you are right. sorry for the false information..
The size limit for battle.net is indeed 4mb.
As i can remember now, i have played it in lan mode and thats why the confusion.


And as for a unprotected dota allstars 6.52e map, can anyone help me. I want to make some changes for 1v1 games. Me and some friends want to make a tournament of our own and i like to add and change some things like a score board and i like to change the triggers when you destroy the frozen throne or the ancient tree so that when someone destroy it takes some points and the match goes on until he reaches a specific amount of points and many other changes. Any help would be gratefull!

thats not impossible but its not too easy to do that... and I guess it will take a days or a week and even a months to do that.

Well i tried and used some tools (mpqmaster and mpq recover) and i managed to unprotect 6.52e (and now i learned how to unprotect any map). But i found that all the triggers and many many more are all in jass format and so i can only do little things because its a little pain in the ass to find every variable (as there are conversion from gui and they have worldedit default names like O1O10 and so..) and then for what is used for and where. I've just played a bit with the war3map.j and managed to change default gold for normal from 1 to 100 and roshan to respawn every 10 seconds when killed by a player and also to give each player 20000 gold. But its only a test. i hope in a few weeks i'll manage to learn all (almost, lol) about jass. This forum and othes have excellent resources about jass and triggers so i'll start from them. And i already started, thank god that i know c++ and java in pro level and that the jass language is like any other programming language only more simple (found the board and i started to make some changes for my tournament, so i expect to take the most 1 month to make it with full vacations hehe).

To sum up, you can't fully restore a protected map to be fully customizable through worldedit. But you can fully change and learn from a deprotected map through world edit and a text editor (for all scripts like war3map.j).

So good luck to any modder, hacker and maker out there!
