Is there a workaround for the skybox bug, for when the skybox goes out of view? The whole ghosting effect is pretty bad in some levels.
As a suggestion, I think there should be a nice folder for walls that are not fullbright, fullbright walls annoy my eyes :(
suggestion #2 get rid of those nasty overlays that the zombies have, like in the latest version of Nova's hack
1. I think I've found a fix for the skybox bug. I'm going test it for a while to make sure things still run smoothly.
2. I've been playing with normal bright walls, and I think I'm liking it. I might make this change in my next update.
3. I don't think I know what you're talking about. If you mean the randomly colored normal infected, it's not something that can be fixed (at least not to my knowledge, and to the knowledge of others who have tried). You can, however, use my Individual hacks to pick whatever color you like.
What I mean by color filters is this http://media.photobucket.com/image/H...nterpounce.jpg
as you can see the screen has an orange tint to it, somehow SuperNovaAO has edited out these color changes while playing on Versus. It affects my ability to see clearly, makes things blend in too much.
Edit: Never mind, you can get rid of the color correction by deleting the correction folder under materials ;)
Damn dude, this is amazing. You should get more credit then what you already getting. Putting alot of time for a nice free hack.
Thanks.

Lol, dude I keep getting kicked from the server from some Smoker file or something. Know how to fix that?
Don't forget to install the VPK file and everything correctly. You're doing the same thing wrong I did about a week ago, just read the instructions more carefully :)

This feature has been added to my newest update (3.9).

You're a great critic. You're exactly what I need to make this hack better. Thanks for the tips! This has been fixed in my new update (3.9). The "cannot open" errors are because you are unRARing instead of un7ZIPing (use [Only registered and activated users can see links. ])

Always happy to oblige the immoral masses ;)
As naka said, make sure you follow my directions to the crossed "t" and dotted "i". If any part of my installation instructions are confusing, please let me know so I can revise them.
On to the update...
8/26/09
- Released 3.9
- Additional optimizations reduced filesize from 6.61 MB to 6.17 MB.
- Removed Infected's orange screen overlay.
- Heavily edited the (Full) compilation (and its ~Individual~ counterpart) with the following changes:
- Changed all foliage (trees, rocks, etc) from $alpha to $translucent, effectively making things much better to see through.
- Rocks and tree trunks are now gray in contrast to black leaves. This helps to know what can be walked through and what can't.
- The cornfield in BH5 is now translucent.
- The metal irrigation system in the BH5 cornfield has been reverted back to the original material to be seen easier.
- NM 4 (hospital level) has been edited slightly to reduce most of the eye strain caused by the ghosting effect.

and I'd love to see this hack get better, though I don't know how much better it could get after 3.9 :)
Few more thing I noticed, red punchable objects cannot be seen through, or there just isn't an option to have wallhacked red objects. Not a big deal though so I never did edit in transparency myself.
along with that, having fullbright zombies in the brightest color possible takes away the contrast hunters, smokers and boomers have. In SuperNovaAO's version, zombies appear rather pale which personally helps me to concentrate on hunters, smokers and boomers when the screen gets busy. Fullbright textures also take away from this contrast as I think I've mentioned earlier.
A white dot on a dark background is easy to see, but a white dot on a gray background not so much
Now, I'm not sure if this can be edited out or not, but the hunters flashlight looks much like the overlay on ZPS. http://tbn3.google.com/images?q=tbn:...006-custom.jpg for lack of a better picture... anyways, the flashlight cannot be taken off so it continues to make seeing just a little bit harder.
