This is the long proccess I use to make sure I don't get scammed when I am buying Nexus Cash from other players in the game. *I Haven't been scammed in a while, and this process seems to work flawlessly*
1. You got to find players that are willing to sell NXCash. And here's how I go about doing this:
-Look for players that have NXCash items equipped and request an open trade window with them. Once you have the trade window open, ask this:
"Hi, do you buy or sell NXCash to other pleyers?" (I reccomend copying this line for you will probably have to enter this line of text again and again)
Now if they say, "no I don't sell, but I do buy", ask who they buy it from. If not, then check other channels to find NXCash equipped people. *Avoid going into CH.1, because that's where all the scammers like to hang out.
2. When you finally found someone that is willing to send NXCash, ask how much they charge for 5k NXcash. If they are selling LESS than 500k, there's a good chance it's a scam. If they ask you to offer first, tell them 500k. It's very likely that the person dealing will want a little more and ask for at least 1 million for 5k NXcash.
3. Ask this dealer if he ever sold before. If he hasn't, then for your own protection, go find another dealer. But if you wan't to go ahead and take chances, then proceed to the next step. If not keep reading. Now if they say that they have sold before, ask for some references (Other people that have bought from this certain individual). Open messenger and invite both the dealer and the reference and have him confirm the dealers honesty and make sure that the dealer will follow through.
4. Once you are done with negotiating prices/security satisfaction, ASK them, "What information do I need to provide you?" If they ask only for your ID, ask them if they really mean only the ID and nothing else. If they confirm that, then it's most likely a scam. If they ask for your Gift Authorization Code and ID, go ahead and provide them with that. *some dealers will ask for your ID and P/W. This doesn't necessarily mean they are scammers, this is just another method that I HIGHLY do not reccomend doing.
5. Once you have provided the GAC and the ID, wait the amount of time that would normally take a person to write/type down your information. Then close the trade window and open up a new trade window again. Once you have done that, ask the person to repeat back your information. If the dealer fails to do this, then I would reccomend finding someone else. * Make sure it's obvious enough that the dealer has actually took time to check your information, ex: "hold on 1 min" <--- tells you that the dealer is actually writing down your information or is checking your information through the msg website. (they can check to make sure the information you provided them is valid).
6. If you feel that you have enough trust with this certain dealer, go ahead and trade him whatever price you agreed to pay. If these methods do not totally satisfy you, then you can always ask friends to do it for you. =-) hope this helps a lot. I know how horrible it feels to be scammed, Shame on you scammers!
