they first disconnect you and send you a message that you are banned..
and when you check your email, they tell you if you are banned permanatly or just for awhile.

does your actions depend on if you get permanent ban or just temporarily banned?

I think we won't know how the GM ban people unless we're one. Just like the moderators of GamerZPlanet: How they close thread? How they warn people? How they make stickies? How they move threads?
You know what I mean?

Re: How do GM's actually ban people?

GM is basically a normal player with added features... I believe they get some console of some kind and can insert your name into it to ban you... (I remember seeing it somewhere in asiasoft forums... well I believe that was where it was...) I believe they can also right click and ban you too?

I'm a mod on another forum and there's a drop-down list with options on it (I.E.: Stickie thread, close thread, bump thread, delete thread, move thread, etc...)

It's probably something similar in this forum.

Re: How do GM's actually ban people?

They check on certain maps that they know hackers would occupy in invisible mode and ban them accordingly. Possibly a /ban function that only GMs have.

Re: How do GM's actually ban people?

Actually from my experiences with Maplestory if you are reported with 200 reported of "Botting" your automatically temp banned. Ermm... for like Ludi and stuff I think it was 10 reports and you get banned. I think there are like different limits for each place. So yea if you get people to report a LEGIT player he might get banned. xD
