According to a few rumors, there will be a Very Vicious Hammer. The effect of this item will be much like a chaos scroll, but for slots. There's a chance of increasing slots and a chance of decreasing slots. As you know, an item may only be hammered twice, and if it works almost identically to the chaos scroll, I think we can expect this hammer to add up to 10 slots (and for it to be possible to lose just as much). Currently, the maximum number of slots achievable is 12 (for Zakum Helmet, overalls, Maple Shield, etc.)
Does anyone want to speculate?
I'm guessing it'd be safer to use the Vicious Hammer if you've got a godly clean item that you can't get a hold of ever again (e.g., [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]). If all the slots have been used up already, that might raise different questions: will it unscroll any slots removed, or will it only be able to add slots?
