Re: What job to choose?

Warrior because it's cheap and easy to level. Mages take a lot of time unless you have funding. Archers just take a lot of time right there. Rogues... well I guess you can start with them too, but it'll probably be pretty weak. Your best bet is warrior.

Donate 200 points if I helped (or more).

If you want to make money and level fast, I would go for a lukless cleric.

They pretty much don't need equipment (just buy a wooden wand + some regular clothes and use those till around 30, then get a paintbrush and an umbrella at 40) and later on they barely need any pots to train, so they make alot of money.

Re: What job to choose?

I suggest clerics if you're playing it for long-term, since clerics and priests earns a lot. Priests are able to find party slots easily as well, because of the skill Holy Symbol. Once you advance to Bishop, you'll be taking part in the attacking as well.

Cleric, it's cheap and you don't even need hpots after level 30.

I would go for gunslinger though, they're incredibly fun with recoil+wings.

Short term, warrior.
Long term, cleric.

Re: What job to choose?

My Opinion is,

If you want money, and you plan on leveling pretty high, i would recommend a Cleric. 1 because people will love you in party quests like CPQ and KPQ, easy money because after the 2nd job advancement, you wont really need any HP Pots, and because the equipment is rather cheap.

If you want power/semi cheap equipment then i recommend a warrior. 1 because the damage is pretty high and the equips are pretty cheap.

If your someone that wants massive damage and is funded then i recommend being a thief. 1 Because the kick-azz damage (best if dexless) and 2 because its just plain fun xD but VERY expensive.

I personally prefer ^^^^ just because i got a level 98 NW xD and i think i do some nice damage :]

Re: What job to choose?

A more comprehensive view on my part:

I suggest either a cleric / warrior if you're unfunded. The former being a party supporter (no need for spams), and the latter dealing decent damage with average equipment. If you're planning to play till 3rd/4th job, become a cleric, as priests are high in demand in farming spots with Holy Symbol. Bishops are efficient in clearing maps as well.

For bowman, they are pretty much the rare breed to have as a job, quite a challenge. Suitable for tertiaries, not primaries. Thieves are huge spenders, so I recommend only if you want flashy damage, as a secondary character.
