What do the pets do? I C I have to buy them with real money.
How do I increase my hit damage without playing this game for hours and hours.
I want my 4 year old son to play with a joystick and nothing else (I set that up already, only to jump, attack and move, It's how I play too). He and I keep dying, those stupid pigs kill me instantly. When my son plays I have to get up and fix it so he can respawn. That suckssss.

I just got to level 10 and bought a bigger sword. I want a gun or something that shoots. How?
Umm okay, a pets is someting that is just there to follow you, unless you buy item for it. If you buy the meso magnet and item magnet, it'll pick up those money and stuff that drop out when you kill the monsters, so you dont have to do it. Basically its for lazy people.
If you want to incrase your damage just add up your ability points. Since your new to it, im assuming, when you level up, you gain 5 ap (ability points.) Since you dont know what they are, you probably wont know where it is either. Just press 'S' and a window should come up. It should show information on stuff, like hp, mp, int, dex, luk, str, and other stuff. Depending on what you want to be, you add it to the slot needed. Dont put it on hp or mp, only on int, dex, luk, or str. If you want to be a warrior, you put it on str. Mage you put it on int. Theif you put it on luk. Bowman you put it on dex. But theres more to it. I'll put up a guide for all job later for you, so try and look for it. Since you said you wanted a gun or something, you'll probably want to be a bowman, since in cash shop they have a gun. Other than that, there is no gun.
About the joystick, its much simpler if you play maplestory on keyboard, because there are more that just 1 button needed to play. For me, i have over 20 buttons used up on my keyboard. One you need buttons to heal using pots (both mp and hp) taking up atleast 2 buttons. Then you'll need another one for hitting, then theres jumping. For beginners, thats all they use. Plus their skills. Skill- skill is like a special attack so you dont get bored, just hitting all the time. Click K, to see your skills. There are now beginner skills. Everytime you level you're get 3 skill points (sp.) So you can put it on whatever you want. Just move your cursor over the skill and it'll tell you what it does. My cousin is also 4. I taught him how to play maplestory, and using a keyboard is easy for him now. He'll get used to it.
