Question Assassin and Bandit

I have been wondering... which is better... Assasin or Bandit?
Assasins are strong but only when both shots are critical... Lv 50 dmg abt 2.5k(both critical) for Lucky Seven. Able to far range. Unable to attack close.
Bandits are strong too and thier attack are very fast. Lv 50 dmg abt 1.8k~2.2k for Savage Blow. Close range attack only. Able to attack close.

Wow, so many advantages and disadvantages, huh? So I wondered which is better. Can you all help me choose? Please stats your reasons too if possible.
PLEASE DON'T COMPARE HERMIT AND CHIEF BANDIT PLEASE. JUST COMPARE BANDIT AND ASSASIN WILL DO, ty.

Re: Assassin and Bandit

Me, I support bandit, attack speed is fast, not that expensive to build though and their attack is cool.

Re: Assassin and Bandit

Sin damage sucks without critical =\ and the damage is too unstable, I prefer bandit because their damage is more stable. Heard that bandit 4th job skills in KMS beta owns =)

Re: Assassin and Bandit

1 word: Drain. This makes Sins irrevocable stronger. Using Potions slows down your attacks (I am reasonable sure it is the same speed as a normal attack). Using Drain, you can stand toe to toe like a cleric and keep your attack speed up. Essentially the debate is over unstable better damage at range vs (cooler looking) stable weaker damage without range… the only other difference is Steal and Drain… and frankly Drain trumps steal any day.

Other Reasons to be a sin (Without Including third job):

Effective At Close Range: Have we all forgotten about disorder? This little ability that most people don’t invest in, is probably the biggest lifesaver for Sins and mobs… I use it all the time, it is right next to my lucky 7 shortcut.

They Are Stronger At Earlier Levels: After a Sin has maxed Critical Throw, their damage sky rockets. Compared to a bandit, needing to max Mastery AND Savage blows, a Sin will out damage the Bandit at earlier levels and therefore level faster. With that said, Sins usually have access to Haste faster than Bandits because of the above clause.

Sins Don’t Need Mastery: Ok, it’s good to have but who cares? You could easily dip some ranks in Endure and be like a warrior (with HP Recovery) and a Mage (With MP Recovery)… Bandits have to Max more things in order for close to the same damage.

Range: You should only be training on things that you can kill with 1 hit… that’s a given. With that said, the range of a Sin, especially with Haste, is something to note. One jump from a Haste and your stars will home to their targets in the levels above you…. It is just useful; you don’t have to waste time running toward monsters. At low levels this makes the throwing thief much more efficient than the dagger.

Damage: The Damage is just better… with Max Critical Throw, things aren’t too unstable… they aren’t great… but not TOO unstable.

Reasons not to:

Sins Don’t Look As Cool: A Barrage of numbers is much neater than two pink numbers… nuff said.

Good Sins Need Work… Great Sins Need Meso: if your poor… I suggest not being a thief at all. It takes timing and practice to know when to jump and throw to avoid melee combat, and it takes time to get used to disorder… that’s the nature of the beast.

There Will Always Be A Sin Better Than You: This is something you just need to accept… Maple Players will try and KS you to “compete” who is better… it is all just to see how big their e-penis is… let this go… but it can get frustrating… especially at lower levels.

Only note on third job:
Flash Jump is freaken awesome. That is all I needed to say.

Re: Assassin and Bandit

ok... there are 2 things I STRONGLY disagree with u. and dat is .... i disagree dat sins dont nid mastery... becuz sin cannot critical all the times... and if without critical+mastery... sin dmg will be the MOST unstable among ALL jobs. Bowman 2nd advancements are no exception. And i also disagree dat bandit has to max more skills in order for the dmg to be sins... Sins nid to max alot too... like wad u say... endure and drain are the extras... anyways thxs alot for ur commment bandit

Re: Assassin and Bandit

ok well, assasins are fast and do crazy damage with critical, they got drain. Besides, if the sin has a +7meba meaning a "faster" attk for a claw and maxed booster that means hes atking like crazy. EX: The sins hitin a monster wud be like this: 1111111111111. Where as a bandit even with a faster attk for a dagger wud do damage like this: 1 1 1 1 1 1 1. With lil gaps in between em..Besides, the damage is pretty stable when u use luky 7 if not then i wudnt chance it. The cons of a sin is that u HAVE to be funded to make a really good sin. Cuz ive seen like lvl 10 sins with ilbi and thyre crazy. Most of them have a main lvl 100+....Sins arent rely good moneymakers unless u dont spend cash on pots. Which they drain alot cuz of lucky 7...so go ahead and choose.

Re: Assassin and Bandit

I perfer Bandit over Assasins because bandits damage is much more stable, a good Assasin is HORRIBLY expensive, and savage blow looks so much cooler than any assasin ability :D
