Hacking with Vista

Hello everyone how are u doing, i have gotten my Vista installed for 1 week now and i finally got time to hack MS again, but this time when i launch the Engines (Akuma, Zenos, etc i got many) most dun seem to work anymore, there are pop ups saying kernaldata couldnt be found, updated (or sumthign like that), and a lot of the options in the engine Settings are apearing grey. ANd yes this doesnt happen when i had my WIndows XP. so is this just the way VIsta isnt compatible with a lot of softwares or is there a way to solve it?
