GG Errors and how to fix them

Hello Everyone. This is just a thread about if your only having problems with GameGuard, And can't seem to resolve it. Here is a list of all GAMEGUARD ERRORS.

From what Iver Herd alot of People are having more Issues with Gameguard. I will do some research and help you all out and post what all I've update on here. Just to keep you in touch ^_~

-Error 340 Has More Corrections and Fixes. A Lot of it is due to issues your computer do.
-Error 1335 Error Has a Extra way to fix this. And worked for someone who originally had this problem

-a [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (Use at Last resort). This should recover you from any GameGuard error you encounter and fix it. PLEASE DONT USE IT UNLESS YOUR ERROR IS NOT ABLE TO BE FIXED FROM BELOW!

error 110:
Q: Game Guard has Already Been Loaded.

A: nprotect has already been loaded; hit Alt+Ctrl+Del to open the task manager, open processes, and end processes of GameGuard.des. Or GameMon.exe, Guard.exe, Trose.exe, Or GameGuard.exe. (Its only 1 of the 5) And Click on End Process.

-This Picture was took when i was LOADING GameGuard to show people how it is listed and where it is listed
-In vista: logging out and back in to your windows account should save having to restart your PC.
-You Might have to restart your computer.
-Wait at least 2~5 Mins then try MapleStory again
-When it gives u this Message Just try and Start Maple again at least 3 times. it should force GameGuard to close.

Error 111:
Q:An error occurred while processing the Gameguard folder. Please find the *.erl files that are located inside the Gameguard Folder, insider the MapleStory folder, and E-mail them to game @inca.co.kr as attachments.

A: Try restarting your computer and then Delete GameGuard

error 112:
please be sure your PC is free of viruses and that sufficient memory is available. you may wish to make sure your virus scanning program is up-to-date and functioning properly and that you do not have too many other open programs.

error 114:
1.Temporarily disable your firewall software. More info for allowing GG on your firewall. (In Spoiler)
2. go to c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc directory and delete procguard and that's it. restart your computer if it doesn't work. (DO THIS LAST)

error (114) — Failed to initialize GameMon. Try rebooting or closing possible programs that can cause a collision.

1. Try rebooting.

2. Most of the issues that we have seen attributed to this error message have been due
to a firewall. If you are receiving this error message, we suggest trying the following steps.

First, try disabling any and all firewalls that you have running on your machine
to see if this alleviates the issue.

If it does not, you'll need to adjust your firewall exceptions to allow exceptions for these files:
Maplestrory.exe, Patcher.exe, GameGuard.Des and GameMon.Des.
Specific instructions for this can typically be found on the respective manufacturers' websites.
The process will vary by manufacturer. The default locations for each file are as follows:

"C:\Program Files\Wizet\Maplestory\Maplestory.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Wizet\Maplestory\Patcher.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Wizet\Maplestory\GameGuard.des"
"C:\Program Files\Wizet\Maplestory\GameGuard\GameMon.des"

3. If you are still receiving this error message after trying these steps,
you should make sure that you have no third party applications attached
to the Maplestory program. (Hacks for example)

4. There could be a program that might be taking up too much CPU resource,
Or, the video driver or sound driver might be out of date. Please scan for
any virus and spy-ware, and update all drivers to the most recent versions.

5. The user might be running an anti-virus software that is too heavy for the
particular system(Norton 2005, McAfee, VirusBuster, etc.) Please open the
settings of the application, and disable any unnecessary features like internet
monitoring, outlook monitoring, script monitoring. (Or right click disable your
antivirus alltogether to see if that temporarily fixes the issue thereby pinpointing
your problem)



-note: spybot may not run with maple and will give this error too.

PrevX and all any related processes
KAVPF.exe
kavsvx.exe
Combination of DVDLauncher.exe and rundll32.exe

error 115:
maplestory has been executed multiple times, or gameguard is already running. close the game and restart. Please Refer To Error 110.

error 120, 124, 141, 142, 150, 153:
your installation of nprotect is either incomplete or damaged. delete the gameguard folder and repatch maplestory, or try clicking on the [check files] button.

error 155:
this means that you have a serious virus or hard disk corruption. try restoring it.

error 170:
delete the gameguard folder and run the patch program again.

error 230:
the other fix is to just uninstall MS completely and reinstall it. reason: you changed some files to read-only that are necessary for maplestory.

error 340:
Q: Unable to connect to the game guard update server. Please try reconnecting later, or check the network connection

A: Before Doing this Step, Make sure your firewall,router, etc, Is allowing access for the MapleStory game, and the rest of its nessarry files needed to go online.

-If This Does Not Help you, PLEASE READ DOWN THOUGH THE FIRST PAGE. It will be solved due to a conversation 1 person and I had. Ive had 4 People say it was the fastest way to be fixed!

-Try Deleting the Gameguard Folder, May fix the Issue with something inside Gameguard

-If you have the Code "127.0.0.1 gameguard.mapleglobal.com" In your File "hosts" DELETE IT, Maplestory had a BIG Issue with that.

-This could be affected by your Internet. Try Restarting your Internet.

-indicating that the NProtect patches failed to download, either due to an overly restrictive firewall or network issues leading to failed downloads (such as timeouts, corrupted packets, etc.) I recommend checking your firewall settings as well as your current connection stability, and trying again at a later time.

- Try Pasting 107.0.0 mapleglobal.com Into the "hosts" File. NOTE: THIS MADE ME LAG LIKE CRAZZY. But it still works!

-Untick the "Read-Only" Button in your Property settings on the "hosts" File.

go to c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/ directory and Click on hosts (ONLY THE ONE NAMED hosts, NOT WITH CAPS!!!!!) Open it up with Note Pad. Under Local Hosts, There should be one or two That has SOMETHING to do with MapleStory! Delete them From There, AND SAVE IT (No this does not harm your computer. But Make sure u do exctally What is posted here!) and that's it. restart your computer if it doesn't work. (If You do not have the File make a new one and Copy and Paste this inside the "hosts" File. USE NOTE PAD)

the nprotect patcher was cancelled. restart maplestory.

error 360:
be sure that your firewall is accepting maplestory or delete the gameguard folder and run the patch program again.

error 361:
check if you are authorized to use internet and check if your internet is working right or not. if that doesn't work just redownload gameguard.

error 380:
this is indicating that either there is a problem with your internet connection, security software on your PC is blocking nprotect from accessing its patch server, or the nprotect patch server is temporarily down. you may wish to wait a while and try again, and verify your firewall settings, as well.

Error 1335.
Q: The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt
and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

A: This just means that you have used a file That you have had LONG AGO! Like about 3 or 4 months. You need to get another File From [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and Install it.

A: Either MapleStory Is Lagging Big time, Or Your Lagging ALOT!
I would say for you to clean your Computer and also Check your Connection.

Miscellaneous things to try:
-Scan for any viruses or spyware that may be interfering with things.
-Try a system restore to a day before the problem began
Read This before doing a System Restore

Note: System restores will revert your PC's settings, and installed programs back to the date restored to, so if you have installed anything new since, that will be undone. Documents and downloaded files however should remain untouched.



-Uninstall and Re-Install maplestory into a new directory

you can also enable nprotect\maplestory through the firewall.
if you are using a router, configure it to let maple through.

usually, you computer may not have the problems of what the different errors say, because it may sometimes be due to using hacks therefore gameguard has errors.
