MapleStory [v.47] Hacking Tutorial

Alright guys, this is my first tutorial so please be kind and give constructive criticism. Please do not ask any questions or comment until you have read the whole tutorial. There is some important stuff at the bottom of the tutorial you might want to read before complaining about computer restarts and stuff.

ALL credits go to yipang at the CE Forums for providing the basics and the CT for this tutorial. Credits for the Moonlight Engine 1105 goes to whoever made it! I did not make any of the hacking tools referenced in this tutorial, I'm just passing what information I've received onto the GZP community.

Yipang's tutorial, has pictures and more hacks (requires much more knowledge of how Cheat Engine works): [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

First off, a list of things you need to hack:
~ Moonlight Engine 1105 - engine used to hack, can be downloaded at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
~ [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] - it allows you to hack xD
~ [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] - wonderful CT made by yipang (At least I think it was made by him/her >.>)

Things you might want to have while hacking:
~ DxWnd - a nice little program that puts MapleStory in a nice little window
~ MzBot III (cakepub3.exe) - the most widely used (I think) bot in MapleStory

The links for the downloads for these programs can be found in elsewhere in the GZP forums (hint: use the search tool)

NEW: I have uploaded a hackpack (I did not make any of the tools, I merely compiled them into a nice little file for leechers like you! T.T)

NOTE: THIS METHOD ONLY WORKS FOR GAMEGUARD REV 1105, IN ORDER TO USE THIS METHOD FOR GG REV 1121, YOU MUST DOWNGRADE GG, SEE THIS TUTORIAL FOR INSTRUCTIONS: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Alright, now that you have your hacking tools, let's get hacking!

• Extract everything that's in a compressed format (*.rar, etc).
• Move the gms47.cem file into the Moonlight Engine folder.
• Open "MoonLight Engine 1105.reg" and click "Yes"
• Open "Systemca11retriever.exe" and just click "Yes" the whole way through
• Restart you computer
• Open Moonlight Engine - all the settings should be correct by default
• Click the little folder on the top-left hand corner
• Open yipang.ct - DO NOT TICK/CHANGE ANYTHING YET
• Open whatever other hacking/botting tools that you'll be using (e.g. DxWnd, MzBot, etc) - MAKE SURE YOU OPEN THESE AFTER YOU OPEN MOONLIGHT
• Open MapleStory, the engine should auto-attach (please make sure if it does before asking any questions), if it doesn't go back and repeat the previous steps
• Click the infamous big blue Play! button
• Log-in and go to a map

If you got this far without any problems, well done! Now comes a somewhat tricky part. Time to activate the hacks:

Slow Dupex:

• Tick (aka Freeze) Slow Dupex
• Wait until the address of "EIP Value" changes
• Right click "Set EIP" and choose "Change Register Here"
• Tick the EIP box
• Enter for the EIP Value the address of "EIP Value"
• Click Ok
• Tick "Pointer"
• Go back into MS
• Jump around a bit until you get vacced

1 Hit GodMode:

• Right Click "1 Hit GodMode" and choose "Change Register Here"
• Tick the first check box for ZF
• Click Ok

1 Hit Godmode has been confirmed by me to work. Do not use this in conjunction with Damage Control + No KnockBack, you will DC.

I'm not going to list specific instructions for each individual hack because that would take too long to type. If you would notice, the instructions are actually in the description for the hack in the CT (clever of yipang to put it there). Tick means to tick (duh). ZF[X][] means to tick only the first box of ZF. ZF[X][X] means to tick both boxes of ZF. If you didn't understand what I just said, go back and re-read the tutorial.


In the Damage Control + No KnockBack Hack:
If you want only Dmg Control, right click No K/B, and go to "Change Record" > Value. Then change the value to 1
Same thing if you only want No KB, only you change the value of DmgCtrl to 0

I repeat, All the instructions you need are in the description of the hack

---- MoonLight Engine Settings ----
These are my settings that work for me, feel free to play around with them, though do not complain to me if they do allow you to hack properly.

General:
[x] Show undo button
[x] Show advanced options
[x] Update the list of found addresses even afters scanning
[x] Center Moon1ight Engine when bringing to the front
[x] Hide some/all windows instead of trying to bring Moon1ight Engine to the front
[x] Show Autoattach to MapleStory Bbutton

[x] Show values as if they are signed
[ ] Show and work with binaries as if they are decimals
[ ] Simple copy/paste

Update Interval [500]ms
Freeze Interval [250]ms
Found address list update interval [1000]ms

Scan:
Size of scan buffer (KB): [512]

[ ] Fast scan on by default
[ ] Enable Hyperscan when possible
[ ] Don't scan memory that is protected by the No Cache option
[ ] Keep low memory usage when doing an "Unknown Initial Value scan" with Hyper Scan

[x] MEM_PRIVATE: Memory that is private
[x] MEM_IMAGE: Memory that is mapped into view of an image section
[ ] MEM_MAPPED: Memory that is mapped into the view of a section

[x] Run scan in a separate thread
Thread priority [Higher]

File Associations:

Code Finder:
[o] Use Debug Registers
[ ] Memory Access Exceptions

[x] Try to prevent detection of the debugger

[ ] Use int3 instructions for breakpoints
[x] Replace incomplete opcodes with nops
[x] Ask for replace with nop

[x] Try to prevent detection of the debugger

Extra:
[x] Query memory region routines
[x] Read/Write Process Memory
[x] Open Process

[ ] Undo changes to ME
[ ] Force memory to be writable in case the standard method is blocked

Fix #1:
Right-click My Computer and go to Properties > Advanced > Startup And Recovery Settings > Edit startup options

Change the text to:

THERE IS NO SPACE BETWEEN "Windo" and "ws" ON THE 5TH LINE, THAT IS A FORMATTING ERROR BY THE FORUM

*NOTE* DO NOT MESS THE PREVIOUS STEP UP, IT WILL MESS UP THE BOOT PHASE OF WINDOWS


Fix #2 (dual-core computers), paraphrased from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]:

• Right-click My Computer and choose Manage > Device Manager
• Right-click the "ACPI Multiprocessor PC" heading and select "Update Driver"
• Choose "No, not this time"
• Choose "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)."
• Choose, "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install."
• Select, "Advanced Configuration Power Interface (ACPI) PC"
• Advanced Configuration Power Interface (ACPI)
• Proceed with installation
• Restart your computer

Refer to the previous link for instructions on how to roll-back the driver

No, the links still work fine. I'll upload a separate copy when I get the time though. The links to CEF are actually download links.

Edit: Nevermind, yeah the engine link was messed up. I put the link up separately now

Try again from the beginning. Check to see if you're engine attaches to the MapleStory process after you open MS. The engine should show "MapleStory someAddress" at the top-middle.

Ok, I think I see what the problem is. You guys aren't registered at CE Forums so you probably can't access the download. Well, luckily for you guys, I compiled all the tools into a nice neat little hack pack. Read the full tutorial before you come and comment, okay?
