Virtual PC is a microsoft product. VMware isn't. I am a member of both Virtual PC and VMware forums. The creators of Virtual PC said that they're "NEVER" build in 3D rendering support. The purpose of Virtual PC is to test "network envoirements (sorry if i spelled that one worng)" While VMware actualy wants to be able to completely virtualise a computer, including 3D support. The OpenGL drivers in VMware are still beta though. they hope to bring out version 7.0 of VMware this summer with 3D support standard in it

It will work. you need a serial for a "non-hp" computer though. these can be found on the internet. But most of the time illigal. what i suggest is download the CD from the torrent link i added. its a VLK version so it doesn't need any registration keys. (you can compair VLK with a student CD the serial is already backed in the OS)
