Running 2x maple and Hack in VISTA! (VMware)

- Update the Windows XP CD link is now an english version of the OS
- HUGE UPDATE!! PLAY DIFFERENT MAPLESTORY VERSIONS AT THE SAME TIME!!! [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] VMware will make use of that Proxy while your HOST computer still can use GMS (you can also run multiple Virtual machiens at the same time. follow this tut in each machien for different versions) mess a little around with the memory usage

This Tut is about VMware. VMware is a program that is capable of virualising a computer. This means you have 2 Operating systems on one computer. In this case it is Windows XP and Windows Vista. For Linux users there is also a Linux Version of VMware. I don't know exactly how to enable the OpenGL Drivers in Linux.

Requirements:
- A decent Harddisk with atleast 8GB of free space (for the virtual harddisk)
- A windows XP CD (if you dont have on you can download a legal XP [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] registering is required though. but thats simple)
- A VMware key ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ])
- Internet (wired prefered Wireless will do but more Disconects)
- A decent Grafic Card (ATI or Gforce)
- A decent amount of Memory (minimum 2048 MB/RAM)

1. First you have to download VMware and install it on your computer. Activate it with a serial from the keygen.

Now you have your own VMware. the following steps will explain how to create a Virtual machien.

1.Open VMware
2. Klik this button to start the Wizard
3. Press Next. At the next screen tick Custom and press Next
4. You'll get a Vista Security warning. just press Continous. At this screen the settings are already good. (Workstation 6 is good) so you can press next again
5. At the next screen we can choise the Operating system we want. Ofcourse this is Windows XP. Make your choise and press Next.
6. At this screen you can give your Virtual machien a name and decide on which location you want your Virtual machien. If you don't know what to do just press Next
7. Here you can choise howmany processors your VMmachien has. For hacking 1 Processor is required so make your choise and press Next.
8. Here you can decide howmuch memory the VMmachien has. (this memory will be used from the Host computer) I choose 1024MB but 512MB is already enough
9. At this screen you can choise what kind of Network you want. if you use a Wired network you can go for a bridged network or else pick NAT
10. At this screen you can decide which I/O Device type want. Buslogic is good.

You're almoest done with making your Virtual Machien!! now we're going to make a Virtual Harddist

11. Pick the option "Create a new Virtual disk"
12. Here we can choise what kind of harddisk we want a SCSI or IDE. I recomend IDE
13. Now we decide the Size of the harddisk. Since we don't need alot of space for just Windows XP and maplestory 8GB is more as enough. It is wise to tick "Allocate all disk space now." the 8GB will be reserved for VMware that way.
14. Here we can choose which location we want the Virual Harddisk to be, the default location is in the same folder as the configuration files (the place we choose earlier)
15. Click Finish and Congratualtions you have your own Virtual machien.

Now we're going to install Windows XP on your virtual machien.
If you have a CD put the CD in your CD/DVD drive and power on the Virtual machien

If your downloaded the Image Click VM -> Settings or press CTRL+D

Tick CDrom and tick Use ISO image:

Browse to the image location and press OK
You can power on the virtual machien now.

After the Windows XP installation is done install VMtools. this can be done true VM -> Install VMware Tools....
When you installed the VMtools power off the virtual machien

Enabling 3D rendering Support.

Browse to the folder where you saved your Virtual machien (Default is C:\Users\[your users name]\Documents\My Virtual Machiens\Windows XP\ )
There you find the configuration files of your VMmachien
There should be a vmx file in it

Right click it and choise OpenWith. Open it With notepad

Find this row "nvram = "Windows XP Professional.nvram""
beneath that row type the following
Quote:
mks.enable3d = "True"
svga.vramSize = "67108864"
vmmouse.present = "False"
That will enable the 3D rendering support. Save the file and start VMware again.

We're going to optimize the VMmachien now. open the Settings again. (VM -> Settings or CTRL+D)
Press Display and make sure that you have the exact settings as the image

Press ok

Open the preferences (Edit -> Preferences) op tick the Input tab. Make sure it has the EXACT same settings as on this image or else 3D support will fail

You can power on the Virtual machien again. If you used the image i gave at top of this Thread you already have Directx 9.0C installed and SP2. If not check which version of Directx you have. (by pressing Windows button + R and fill in dxdiag)
If you go to the Tab display you'll (hopefully) see that there's 2 options enabled this is GOOD if not check in the configuration files if you saved it if not repeat that step

Download Maplestory and the Hack and you can start hacking!!!

VMcontrols:
CTRL+ALt+DEL = CTRL+ALT+INS
CTRL+ALT = release mouse
CTRL+ALT+Enter = Full screen mode (advisable. DXWnd only works with full screen mode)

I hope this Tut was usefull to alot of Vista users. Windows XP users can also use this.

Tips
- to run maple twice disable Fullscreen in VMware and use DXWnd in Vista to have 2 windowed maplestories.
- Experiment with the Memory to optimise your VMmachien
- Experiment with the value you putted behind SVGA.vramsize (it must be a multiple of 8. for example if you have a 64mb Grafic card 64X1024x1024=67108864Byte so if you have a grafic card that is able 2 produce 128mb 128x1024x1024=134217728Byte)

Note:
- If your VM Window has blackspots when it is minimized, this is usual because the Grafic Card drives for VMware are still in Beta mode. Changing the Windows Theme to Clasic helps.
- I noticed that DHTTP won't work in VMware the rest will work
- A BSOD might apear from time to time this is also a result from the Beta Grafic Card Drives.
- You can Copy/Past betwean the Host and the Virtual Machien

You can always PM me with Questions or post them here. I hope I can answer then as soon as possible. Also give some good comments on this Tut how i can aprove it XD

Gluck ALL!!!

Nice tut. This should help people get VMware working.

I use it myself and was able to bot two characters at once.

Re: Hacking in Vista (VMware) also means 2x Maple on 1pc

Haha ty XD, I use it because of Vista >.< For example Xentar blows up Vista. Moonlight Engine. not a change. besides that i also have a Dualcore so that kinda means that any UCE messes up my computer. because of the 1 processor in VMware all hacks are usuable there. if you mess a little with the settings and set priority high if grabbed you even get a speedboost in maple XD, you attack a little faster and there's less lag (time interval)

If you only plan to use 1 VMware, you can also set it to use 2 cores to improve speed. This greatly improved my infinite summon.

This is only Vista compatible, or could this work on XP?

Ingenious. The creator of the program should be congratulated.

I believe that NetTools 5 will create a virtual disk drive as well, just for further information.

Yes this is Vista compatible. In fact this is my way of hacking in Vista. You HOST a windows XP inside your Vista. you run Vista & XP at the same time. in both Vista and XP you can run Maplestory. which means you can have 1 char in FM and 1 char hacking
