Change your xbl gamertag for free?

without doing the file complaint thing it annoys me and i doubt Otatop123 is offensive

I don't think you can change your gamertag name, but you can create a new one and ask customer support to transfer your XBL Live Gold subscription to your new account.

I do believe you can request a GamerTag re-name, but you need to pay Microsoft Points for it.

You're right about it costing MP to rename your tag. Naturally, Microsoft won't do much of anything for free.

Here's how you can access it (in case someone doesn't know): Go to the XBox Guide (xbox button) > click the button with your gamerscore, avatar, and status > Edit Profile > Gamertag

From there it requires 800 MPs (basically they charge $10 to do it) just click Continue and it will bring up the screen for you to input your new gamertag.

At this time, I'm unaware of any *free* way to do it.

i saw this vid on youtube , forgot name but look something up like 'xbox 360 hidden langue'
it shows extra features with the changing of the langue

Yes you can actually do it for free communicate to enough people and get them all to file a complaint on your "Personal Profile" then your "Gamertag" I think it takes about 30 complaints but im not exactly sure the only hard thing is getting enough people to do it for you, just ask around im sure some people are nice enough to help add me my gamertag is WadeSlayer AU i'll help you do it. Also from what I've heard from people there are also no consequences whatsoever, however do this at your own risk I will not be held responsible for getting you a Perma ban, etc. No need to thank me I'm just here to help =)
