World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade launches

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Launches

If you aren't already playing this game, grinding your way to level 70, then you aren't a hardcore enough WoW player. The expansion to the insanely popular and critically acclaimed World of Warcraft MMORPG has been released today to massive fanfare--lines were found stretching as long, if not longer than those for the Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii, and some stores allocated as high as 4,500 copies of the game. This game won't make haters of World of Warcraft convert to the dark side, but to those hardcore WoW fans, Burning Crusade looks like it'll have enough content to satiate your appetite for months to come.

I don't know why they don't release this game on DVD..instead of 4 CDs.

Re: World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade launches

Maybe its cheaper or something i guess
15 dvds+rw = $15-$20(bestbuy)
like 50 cd-rws=$5??
so 1 million(if they lost a million copies)
or $100000 is they used cd's(million copies)
idk these are just figures so who knows

I rather have it in a DVD, so much easier to install.

Lol, they want to make money, so of course they're going to use CDs.

Re: World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade launches

I mean come on.. They are a big company.. and I don't think they need to save those small amount of money. Also most games are on DVDs now.

Re: World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade launches

I remember Blizzard saying something about how they want their games to be as accessible as possible, so that may be the reasoning behind Burning Crusade shipping on 4 CDs instead of a single DVD.

Re: World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade launches

orderd it and got it the 16th. but no long lines here or anything like that. we do had probs with the ordering of the Collectors Edition, but i didn't order that one ;) and my parents call me a hardcore gamer, but i'm not. i don't play 20 hours straight or grind as a mad-man, i just take it easy (just 40 atm) and enjoy the game.
