GamerzPlanet.NET will move to a new server

In a couple of days, GamerzPlanet will move to a new and a more powerful server. Most of you might already experiencing the amount of time that it takes to load a page and sometimes even blank pages during the peak time. Therefore, I believe it is time to move on to a more powerful server in order make everyone happy when surfing GamerzPlanet. The new server specification is the following:

Dual Opteron 280
5GB Ram
73GB 15K SCSI
146GB 10K SCSI

and it should be able to handle the traffic that the site is getting without any problems. I will keep you guys up to date when I know when I will move GzP and hopefully there will be no downtime during the process. If you guys want to show your support, please make a Donation.

At this moment it took me only 3.780 seconds to this page. However, I know others are having a hard time loading. So, thank you Skyline for providing this community with the ability to continue to grow. Long live GamerzPlanet.

Yes, It does load slow for most people right now; I know that my friends can't even use it because it just takes too long. THANKS SO MUCH! It is incredibly highly appreciated!

I'll finally be able to use GzP during the day now. :D

Well, perhaps I'm stretching the truth a little, but GzP was seriously slow as molasses during peak hours, which, where I live, is during the day. Pages would take nearly a minute to load, or wouldn't load at all.

It's good to see that this problem will be fixed by moving to a new server.

I'll try to donate if I can.

The page does load faster now, though yesterday I encountered mostly page errors for nearly 20 minutes.

Same, this morning it's not as bad, it's actualy loading quite well, but yesterday, and almost everyday last week it took around 20 seconds to fully load a page and i'm on comcast cable with 6mb/s speeds.

By mid afternoon I usually got the "This page can not be displayed" message so it will be nice having a new server to help resolve this.

This is a great site so keep up the good work.
