| Administrator ![]() ![]() | Water Powered Calculator. That often-misquoted phrase reminds us that not all water is potable - normally due to its high sodium content, incompatible pH level, and native plant and animal life. There are a myriad of treatment options available to you, but regardless of which one you chose, one thing is certain: you'll need math to figure it all out. And what better to help you with your calculations than a calculator. While you're at it, use water to power the calculator! That's right - to get this calculator juiced up, just add water (regular tap or filtered water, only). A cap full of water in the H2O battery can power the calculator for up to 3 months. And this calculator isn't a wimpy, dinky thing; you get a full-function calculator with large keys and a large 12-digit display. A calculator is basic office gear, everyone needs one. Geek your calculator up a notch - make it water powered! ![]() Source: http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/7c17/ |

| Registered User | Re: Water Powered Calculator. Yeah, hybrids combine electricity and gas, not water. Although I have seen water powered cars... Anyways, this is a cool idea of using energy. But most calculators use solar energy which charges the battery inside the calculator, thus saving power at all times. And assuming your not using your calculator in the dark, your calculator will most likely have battery power all the time ^_^. So, in my point of view, it seems useless. Still, the technology seems probable for other water-powered products (Lol, iPods..) |
