For those who were planning on getting a $499 Playstation 3, you better buy one now, because Sony is officially phasing out production of the 20GB SKU in North America due to there being more interest in the more expensive $599 60GB SKU (~90% of Sony's PS3 sales came from the 60GB PS3). Sony says that they'll "...continue to monitor demand for the 20GB model, from a consumer and retailer perspective..." but chances of the 20GB SKU returning are slim.
