Famitsu reports Lost Planet coming to PC, rocking DirectX 10

According to a Famitsu report released earlier this morning ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]), Capcom and Nvidia are jointly announcing that the platinum-selling Xbox 360 title [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] is coming to the PC. Visuals have been improved and the title will utilize DirectX 10 (with resolutions up to 2560x1600). The report cites a June 2007 release in North America and Europe with no date listed for a Japanese release.

We're left wondering if Lost Planet PC is going to be Vista-exclusive, and if there are similar PC plans for Capcom's [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Let's hope that Lost Planet doesn't suffer the same fate as some of Capcom's [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

New screenshots of Lost Planet on the PC have just been released, and they look quite good.



As you can see, the PC version has considerably more detail. For example, look at the snow texture and the resolutions of the shadow maps.

Gotta have a good computer for that!

lost planet was an amazing game =) when me and my brother got it we played it all day and night till we beat it, im hoping that when they put it out there for the PC that they throw some new stuff in like they did with halo and the flamethrower
