Bill Allows for Teachers to Carry Guns

It's always nice to know in this country that your classroom is safe. No concealed weapons, whatever. According to a new bill, teachers will be able to carry guns (if it's passed).

How nice. Because a person that's being annoyed by 28 kids every day is definitely not going crazy.

The reasoning behind it is that teachers are going to protect their student should anybody come in with a gun. Which would be reason to issue vision tests, gun training, and an age limit for becoming a teacher.

It just seems that there was an easy way to fix this whole school security issue. And that's to cancel the right to bear arms. Yes, it's part of the bill of rights, but, can you say that the right to bear arms has done more good then bad over the years? You could say, "It helped to catch that criminal a few years back." I could reply, "Where do you think he got his gun?", and I could continue with, "The only people that should have the right to carry weapons are police and the armed forces. That way, when some maniac comes bursting into a room, he won't have a gun."

Re: Bill Allows for Teachers to Carry Guns

Yeah, that's just crazy. I remember hearing someone trying to push something that allowed the students to carry guns. That's just asking for more violence.. =/

Re: Bill Allows for Teachers to Carry Guns

A new bill also passed that now allows for you to have a concealed weapon inside your car. Though it must be concealed at all times, and cannot be withdrawn unless in self defence; against another gun. xD

You don't even need a concealed weapons' license to have it in your car.

The law passed also includes sword, large blades, tomahawks, and other weaponry. Though, what good could a Blade do against a gun? >.>

Re: Bill Allows for Teachers to Carry Guns

I completely disagree gun control is the stupidest idea on earth. Where do criminals get their guns? Do you know? Some like the the VT shooter bought them at the store, but he killed himself afterward, so it doesnt really matter where he bought his gun. But now, were do most criminals get their guns, the ones who want unregistered guns so they don't get caught? The Black Market. If we were not allowed to bear arms, all that would do is allow the average everday joe not have a gun. Criminals, if they want a gun, will still be able to get one. It will just create a huge black market for guns. Take maraijuana, its illegal, yet i uesd by millions of americans everyday, just adding to the underground economy which makes up over 9% of our GDP. Sure if all guns were destroyed, and no one eversold them underground, and we lived in our perfect world, it might work. But here in reality, if someone breaks into my house, i want to have a gun in hand to protect myself, expecially when the guy breaking in my house has one, because he doesn't buy his at a store anyway.
